I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. I then continued my education through the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, receiving my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor as well as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.

I have 18 years experience as a social worker and also have several years experience as a professor in Social Work. My experience is diverse as I've worked with adolescents, mentally challenged, drug and alcohol, geriatrics, grief and bereavement, marital counseling, and have helped clients with various mental health diagnoses. I pride myself in not just talking with the client but working jointly to find meaningful, measurable goals during therapy allowing for clients to see proof of progress throughout the course of treatment. I have worked as a therapist for agencies and now independently for a combined 10 years.

Choosing the right counselor can be very difficult. Feeling weighed down, frustrated, and not able to move past difficult memories can make a person feel chained to the past.
