We offer an integration of multiple therapies that help you build a deep self-understanding (e.g. psychodynamic, narrative, IFS, person-centered) and to create the changes you desire in your thoughts, emotions, and actions (e.g. DBT, SFBT, MI), to process trauma (e.g. TFCBT, EMDR), and to honor your identity and story (e.g. narrative therapy, art therapy).
We are a therapy center for people whose lives have been shaped by family and relationship grief and trauma - including people impacted by adoption, foster care, and other forms of relationship loss, disconnection, or harm. We know the complexity of your feelings, thoughts, and life in-general are heavy but not always visible. Like a grafted branch, your transformation wasn’t chosen but you’ve found the sheer will to grow beyond the wound. You are not alone in your quest for identity, safety, worth, wholeness or how to be close with others without losing yourself. Our therapists get it because each of us has walked it personally.

I offer individual/group services using several treatment modalities (CBT, EMDR, EX-RP, DBT) adapted to meet your individual needs.
Is your pre-teen or teen doubting themselves because the feel like they don’t fit the same mold as their peers? Have they expressed feeling alone, lonely or excluded? Have they experienced a loss or a trauma that is impacting their day to day life? The challenges children face today are many and the resulting feelings show up in the way they behave and feel. Possibly feeling sad or anxious, having frequent stomach and head aches, and/or behavioral and mood changes. Are you overwhelmed, feeling as though you can't make this better for your child? It only takes one family member's stress to throw the whole family off balance.

I have training in Jungian Psychological Alchemy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy ( DBT), and Somatic Stress Release.
I specialize in adults seeking non-denominational and inclusive psycho-spiritual counseling and depth work. My clients may meet criteria for anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, or feel that they live live with some neurodivergence. Our work begins with more traditional psychotherapeutic techniques that identify coping skills and cognitions, but then we will aim to take a deep dive into embodied, somatic experiences and feelings of connection to your innermost Self and the world around you. I have unique education, experience, and training to guide you towards more conscious relationships with your inner and outer world.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapists

Who is DBT for?

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?

The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behavior and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?

Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behavior, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?

Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioral change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behavior; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
