My name is Barbara Holder, nickname is Babs. I am a relational psychologist. Each human being is a unique composite of beliefs about self, others and the world. Our experiences have impacted these attitudes and determined our decisions. The decisions affect our journey through life. At any given time we have the option to alter our journey. Do we have the courage? Can we take the risk of hoping? It is the therapist's role to step into the client's reality and walk with them so that they may recognize that they already have the answers. The understanding that remaining stuck is a defense against the fear of dissappointment.
My desire to be helpful perhaps comes from my own journey that has proven to me that happiness is a decision and action is the key. My focus is th &e elimination of blame combined with the belief in one's potential. Regardless of age, culture, and past trauma we can reduce our fears and move forward. I work with many people who cannot hope.
