My areas of speciality are in working with women in life transitions, with individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+, and with individuals experiencing issues around sexuality and relationship functioning.
I believe that we have all had experiences that shape our sense of the world and impact our relationships with others. My approach to therapy involves exploring how past experiences impact the present and helping my clients use those insights to make active and healthy changes around their sense of self and in their relationships.

In addition to my generalized knowledge of psychology, my human sexuality education has trained me to treat sexual dysfunctions and given me an in-depth understanding of matters around sexual orientation and gender.
At this unprecedented moment, you may be feeling intense anxiety and are unsure where to turn. I will give you connection, warmth, humor, and insight as I help you navigate this period in your life. The key to any successful treatment is a safe, trusting, compassionate relationship between the therapist and client- this is our first goal. Often our most intimate relationships play out problems that we encounter again and again. Together we will examine connections between your past and present, and ways in which current behaviors can be modified in order to have more successful and fulfilling relationships- our long term goal.

While some trauma is overt, such as PTSD, other traumas can be hidden behind depression or anxiety. Emotional traumas can even arise from being raised by parents or guardians with personality disorders. I have over 10 years of experience using EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic interventions to address various forms of trauma.

I offer individual therapy, couples therapy, sex therapy and premarital counseling for adult individuals and couples who want to improve their relationships, heal from betrayal, strengthen communication, and build deeper emotional, physical, and sexual connection.
In 2016, I found myself on a 13-hour flight, traveling over 5,000 miles across the world, leaving behind my family, friends, and the only life I had known. I came to Philadelphia with a dream: to become a marriage and family therapist and, one day, build a practice of my own.
Today, I’m honored to show up with that same curiosity, passion, and courage in my work; creating a space where healing, growth, and meaningful change can begin. Being trusted with someone’s story is something I hold with great care and respect. I specialize in helping adult individuals and couples navigate relationship challenges. I’m so glad you’re here!

I developed an interest in sexuality and creating a space where clients feel safe, affirmed, and comfortable discussing topics that are often stigmatized through my coursework.
I'm an intern therapist under supervision, completing my Master's in Couples and Family Therapy. I approach therapy with the understanding that each person's lived experience is unique. What works for one client may not work for another, and I strive to meet individuals where they are while offering thoughtful, collaborative support.
My path to becoming a therapist grew from my personal experiences throughout life. I spent much of my life living in a rural community, which helped shape my understanding of how environment, identity, and access to support impact mental health.

Sex therapy specialty.
When I deal with anyone, especially men, it's cut and dry therapy infused with humor and science. Men are turned-off to therapy, not because they won't talk about their lives, but because many traditional approaches don't fit their views.

As a trauma-informed certified sex therapist, I'm here to offer you a safe and nonjudgmental space to explore all the things you've been afraid to say out loud.
Many of my clients come to me feeling disconnected - from themselves, their bodies, their relationships, or their true desires. Often this disconnection stems from past trauma, anxiety, or the pressures of performance and perfectionism that weigh heavily on our systems. People bring me things they might not feel safe talking about with other providers or even friends, such as body image issues, erectile dysfunction, childhood abuse, and identity concerns. I specialize in working with queer, nonmonogamous, and kinky folks, though I'm happy to show up for anyone who is ready to nurture a deeper sense of connection in their lives.

Sex Therapy Therapists
Who is sex therapy for?
Sex problems are common in relationships. Many people want a better sex life and want to feel loved and desired by their partner. It is difficult for couples to resolve sexual problems on their own because people often feel ashamed to talk about their sexual desires fearing they are not normal, when in fact a very broad range of preferences and behaviors are normal. A sex therapist can help clarify this and other matters.
Why do people need sex therapy?
Many people do not know how to talk about their erotic needs or their emotional needs, both of which are addressed in sex therapy. Couples often live with sexual difficulties for years before seeking help, and in that time, partners may experience so much disappointment and alienation that they may fear their problems mean they are incompatible. Once people experience disappointment, it is difficult to find resolution without help.
What happens in sex therapy?
People have many misconceptions about what takes place in sex therapy. First, it is a form of talk therapy in which partners discuss their sexual concerns; it does not involve touching or physical exploration of any kind. Sex therapy typically helps couples get comfortable talking to each other about sex so that, in the privacy of their home life, they can openly discuss their sexual desires and make decisions about what they want to do. Couples are typically assigned activities to do at home that build intimacy skills.
What kinds of problems do sex therapists treat?
Very often, partners differ in their degree of sexual desire and struggle over how often to have sex. Or they may have fights about porn use or have difficulty connecting sexually after one partner is unfaithful. Men may have problems with premature ejaculation. Women may find themselves struggling to become aroused or to achieve an orgasm. Sometimes partners feel like they have lost the sense of attraction to their partner. These are all common issues dealt with in sex therapy.
