One of my specialties is family therapy with adolescents and their parents. I enjoy supporting the bridge of communication between the generational differences, and helping each family member feel heard and seen. I work with the philosophy that we don't have to agree with one another to have compassion for one other. I see individuals, couples and families. I work with children as young as 6 years old. If you are seeking parenting support for your child/children, I offer a blended approach to supporting you based on where each specific child is in their development.

I enjoy understanding people’s life stories and how those experiences shape who they are and how they connect. In couples therapy, I bring curiosity to each partner’s inner world and to the space between them—including the emotional, relational, and sexual dynamics that make up a couple’s bond. My goal is to build a trusting relationship where both partners feel safe to explore what hasn’t yet been fully understood—within themselves and within the relationship. I help couples put words to complex experiences and make sense of the impact of their past, their pain, their fears, and their unmet needs—individually and together.

It seems that everyone is in therapy these days, and for good reason! With an increase in global stressors, unlimited access to seeing tragedies on our phones, and pressure to conform to the dominate culture, many of us are left to feel deflated, confused and lost. We all can use a little support, and you don't need to do it alone! I pride myself in creating a warm, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel truly seen and understood. My goal as your therapist is to meet you with empathy, curiosity, and care, so that you can feel empowered to take on life's challenges.

Accepting NEW clients! Many people have had negative experiences with counseling, making them hesitant to seek help again. We are especially skilled at working with those who are uncomfortable with the idea of therapy. Clients have described us as “Therapists for people who don’t like therapy”. We try to understand people on an individual level & adapt our skills to meet their needs. Our goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, & nonjudgmental atmosphere. Therapy should not just be "learning coping skills" to deal with negative feelings, it should involve working to root of the problem to facilitate long-lasting change.

Is depression, anxiety, or ADHD making interactions harder to manage? I am a clinical psychologist specializing in supporting couples in the crucial period from preparing to start a family through the early childhood years.

We are all different in the way we experience life; each of us has a unique perspective in the way we interpret and how we feel about our personal experiences. What I don't do: I am not here to pass judgment or to tell you how to live your life. What I can do: I provide a compassionate approach to help guide and support your decision to make positive changes in your life and help you find alternate solutions to your everyday or recurring problems.

During this time of uncertainty and ongoing change, it is natural to feel unsettled, lost, and afraid. While we may adapt to changes in roles and responsibilities with little or no difficulty, there are times in our lives when change can cause distraction, negative feelings, and overall dissatisfaction with our lives. This is when we discover our true authentic life, within ourselves and our relationships, by engaging in therapy. Let our talented clinicians assist you with regulating emotions, finding peace within yourself during times of strife, and determining the best course of action to maintain safety in authenticity.

Ideally, I am committed to helping others who are committed to themselves, and to those who are willing to courageously embark on a journey to become the best version of themselves they can possibly be. Clients come to me with a variety of concerns, and I function from an integrative approach to meet clients wherever they may be. It is my strong belief that concerns don't define people; identity is a verb.

I have been helping clients of all ages, races, and backgrounds live more fulfilling, rewarding, hopeful lives for as long as I can remember. It was natural for me to become a psychologist and make my mark on the world by doing exactly what I loved to do. Although my clients continually tell me how much they are helped by therapy, I can honestly say that I am the one who is truly changed by helping others. No matter what your difficulties are, I can assure you that you will be changed in some way by entering therapy. There is no difficulty too great or too small to work on in therapy. The only constant in life is change.

Infidelity Therapists
How does therapy for infidelity work?
A skilled infidelity therapist will provide a safe space for clients to communicate their feelings and concerns. The goal is to be completely honest about what led to the cheating and how it has affected the entire family to prevent it from recurring in the future. The therapist will help the clients work on rebuilding mutual trust and respect and developing better communication and conflict-resolution skills. If the goal is to remain a couple, clients will learn the “danger signs” for their specific relationship, and they will make a renewed commitment to be faithful.

How long does therapy for infidelity take?
Recovery from infidelity can take time, and it can vary from person to person. Generally, a therapist will want to see the clients at least once a week for around six months. Then the sessions can be arranged as needed, depending on the clients’ individual needs. While therapy may end or shift to an as-needed basis, it can take up to two years or more for some clients to fully recover from infidelity.

How does therapy help the partner who was cheated on?
When a client discovers their partner’s infidelity, their trust in the relationship and in the life they had together may be shattered. They often experience mental health symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They don’t always want to stay in the relationship; they may feel ambivalent or may even want to leave. Therapy gives these clients a safe and healthy way to communicate all of their complicated emotions and concerns.

How does therapy help the partner who committed infidelity?
Infidelity often occurs when one or both partners’ emotional needs are not being met in the relationship. Therapy can help this client understand why they cheated and figure out how to address those unmet needs without resorting to infidelity in the future. This can lessen (but not entirely eliminate) the risk of repeated infidelity. Clients who cheat may also feel intense guilt about deceiving their partners, a sentiment that they can work through in therapy.
