I work with individuals and couples who feel stuck in painful patterns, weighed down by past hurts, broken trust, anxiety, or emotional disconnection. They may love God and desire healthy relationships, yet feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsure how to move forward. Their goals often include healing from emotional wounds, improving communication, restoring trust, and finding peace and clarity in their lives and relationships. At their core, they want to feel safe, connected, and whole—emotionally, relationally, and spiritually.

My approach blends evidence-based therapies like CBT, ERP, and ACT with mindfulness and compassion-based practices.
We all long for connection. It’s part of what makes us human. But disconnection from ourselves creates a barrier to connecting outward. Therapy isn’t just about alleviating symptoms—it’s about creating a more secure and trusting connection to self. We do that through deepening our understanding of ourselves within the broader context of our lived experience. When we make sense of how we've come to be who we are, we can begin to transform the parts of ourselves that hold us back from becoming who we’re meant to be.

Welcome! If you're coming to therapy to do the work, learn tangible skills and to restore trust in yourself, you're in the right place. You need a therapist who offers compassion and accountability - "talking through" your problems isn't creating change. You've seen a therapist before, but you know deep down that it's more than "anxiety" or "depression." You want to know what you're being treated for and why, with transparency and collaboration.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply not like yourself, therapy with me is a space to do meaningful, collaborative, and active work at a pace that feels both manageable and grounded. Many of the clients I work with experience constant “what ifs,” trouble sleeping, and a level of worry that's hard to quiet. You’ll be able to speak freely and feel heard in your experience as we build your ability to tolerate uncertainty, work through what feels unresolved, and cultivate deeper levels of self-compassion.

I utilize an eclectic mix of therapeutic modalities and interventions to tailor treatment according to the specific needs of each individual, primarily including ACT, Assertiveness Training, CBT, DBT, Exploration of Relationship Patterns, Exploration of Values, ERP, I-CBT, Mindfulness Practices, MI, and ongoing Psychoeducation.
My clinical experience began in general private practice, and I later moved on to develop a more specialized treatment approach through an internship with The Center for OCD and Anxiety in August 2020. From there, I transitioned into my roles as Associate Therapist, Intake Manager, and Caregiver Support Group Leader until February 2024. As I believe that effective therapy includes an appropriate balance of empathy, humor, active listening, and proper guidance rooted in evidence-based practices, I utilize an eclectic mix of therapeutic modalities (listed below) to tailor treatment according to the specific needs of each individual.

To treat OCD and Anxiety I use ERP, ACT, and I-CBT.
Having been in the mental health realm over 10 years now, I have learned that in life there can be great hurt, loss, and suffering but there is also great healing, hope, and joy. We all have a story we were made to tell. We were all made to heal and thrive in relationships. Each person's story is different but each person's story is full of strength, and courage. I'd like to walk with people on their road to healing and better health. I aim to help find resources of comfort, coping, and support. I hope to bring warmth, humor, and practical skills to help clients on their way, and help you lighten whatever burden you are carrying.

There are two major factors with making therapy beneficial - one is the you, the client, and by looking for a therapist, you're taking a big step! The second is the therapeutic relationship, which is strengthened over time. By allowing me to sit with you, help you process what's happening in your life, and trying different coping strategies, we're strengthening that therapeutic relationship, which makes therapy effective. I'm open to feedback and new ideas to find something that's effective for you.

I work through a trauma-informed, relational, and non-judgmental framework to address your unique concerns even outside of PTSD through modalities like ACT, mindfulness, DBT, CBT, and ERP.
You're struggling to manage the impact of trauma or grief, and are tired of pretending you're fine. You often feel stuck and overwhelmed by your thoughts. You may be a gender minority or person of color feeling the weight of the current world. Many of the people I support are coping with anxiety, PTSD, or prolonged grief, and this often contributes to struggles with boundaries, perfectionism, low self-worth, and regulating emotions. Things can change for you! My treatment emphasizes strengths and person-centered approaches, committed to creating a safe environment that supports long-term growth and change.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapists
Do I need exposure and response prevention therapy?
Many clients decide to seek help for obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors when these symptoms are distressing enough to disrupt everyday life. Any thoughts or behaviors that cause friction in close relationships are also worth addressing. In addition, the client’s symptoms don’t have to be severe for them to benefit from ERP therapy.

Is exposure and response prevention therapy part of cognitive behavioral therapy?
Exposure and response prevention is one specific type of CBT that focuses on behavioral change in response to triggering stimuli. It is related to exposure therapy but adds an additional component of preventing compulsive and harmful responses.

How long does exposure and response prevention therapy take?
While every patient is different, exposure and response prevention therapy typically lasts around 12 sessions, although some treatments can take longer. A therapist will determine if the treatment is complete based on how the client faces their fears, particularly the strongest ones. When a client feels less anxiety about stimuli that once evoked terror or distress, that is generally an indication that they are nearing the end of ERP therapy.

What are the limitations of exposure and response prevention therapy?
The most common pitfalls of exposure and response prevention therapy include not addressing a client’s core fears, allowing the client to avoid their most distressing stimuli, and using imaginary exposure when the client requires real-life exposure (and vice versa). ERP therapy is most effective when the client commits to the full course of treatment; if the client stops early or doesn’t practice what they have learned outside of therapy sessions, they are less likely to have successful outcomes.
