I specialize in working with people in transition. These transitions have many sources, but we all struggle with them to some degree. In short, crisis provides danger and opportunity. I facilitate growth and change, rather than being reductionistic and focusing solely on symptoms. Together my clients and I collaborate to create new insights, develop new skills and eliminate old, unproductive ways of thinking and behaving.

Our work together will focus on self growth and making significant, long lasting changes, in yourself and in the way that you relate to others. I believe that people are complex individuals with dynamic lives and histories, and so my approach to psychotherapy is individualized to each of my clients. In addition to psychotherapy, I also provide diagnostic psychological testing and consultation for individuals who are seeking insight into their personalities, ways of thinking, symptoms, strengths, and areas for growth. I have spent two decades helping adults, families and adolescents. I feel everyone has the opportunity to better their situation, and I offer hope and support in each client's journey. I do not enter any session with pre-planned ideas, and I feel adaptability and knowledge are my strengths. Although I may be the "expert" in psychology, I feel each client is the "expert" on themselves. I look forward to joining you in your journey, wherever you may wish to go. I have evening hours available.

Teen Therapists
Adolescence can be a time of both disorientation and discovery. The transitional period can raise questions of independence and identity; as adolescents cultivate their sense of self, they may face difficult choices about academics, friendship, sexuality, gender identity, drugs, and alcohol.

Most teens have a relatively egocentric perspective on life; a state of mind that usually abates with age. They often focus on themselves and believe that everyone else—from a best friend to a distant crush—is focused on them too. They may grapple with insecurities and feelings of being judged. Relationships with family members often take a backseat to peer groups, romantic interests, and appearance, which teens perceive as increasingly important during this time.

The transition can naturally lead to anxiety about physical development, evolving relationships with others, and one's place in the larger world. Mild anxiety and other challenges are typical, but serious mental health conditions also emerge during adolescence.
