I only treat individuals & specialize in EMDR, though I use other modalities as well. I changed my profession to totally change my life by returning to school for several years. Best decision I ever made!
Low self-worth is often linked to either hurtful experiences, or positive ones that you "needed" to grow but never got enough of. By utilizing interventions that target memories about "what happened" or "what needed to happen but often didn't" you can unload some bricks from your backpack .You can't undo "what happened" but you CAN undo the impact hurtful experiences/situations/relationships have had on how you view yourself.

You have exhausted your resources trying to solve your current challenges and are seeking outside counsel, maybe for the first time. It feels daunting, seeking out a stranger to share what has been going on and wondering where to start. You come with strengths like perseverance - it has gotten you this far and you continue to seek answers. You are curious and willing to ask questions. You have courage, to share what is happening, to come as you are. You are someone who appreciates learning and is open to new perspectives because as Einstein said - “No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it."

My journey to healing others began over 30 years ago, when I entered the field of medicine. I only ever wanted to be a nurse – from the time I could say the word. I gradually evolved into this field, practicing new specialties, and earning more degrees. I’ve received my Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, and Doctorate in Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania. I am associated with APNA and ASCH, and a known Reiki Master and IET Specialist, as well as 100 volunteer hours with WOAR. I specialize in treating adults of all ages, suffering from a range of mental and physical illnesses.

I have a collaborative approach; where actively working together to deeply understand you and your issues is the first step. Working together to understand and not judge the thoughts, feelings, beliefs and experiences that are contributing to your patterns is essential. Decreasing shame, and increasing self esteem, acceptance, and compassion, are integral aspects to therapy I offer, and necessary to reducing the internal conflict which so often fuels the problems and patterns. For therapy to be effective, it calls for a very active effort on your part, as well as mine.
