Whether you’re a parent seeking support for your child, or a young adult unmasking after a late ADHD or autism diagnosis, you deserve a space that sees your strengths and meets your needs without judgment.
I use a neuroaffirming, integrated, and sensory-informed approach to support emotional regulation, executive functioning, and life challenges. Drawing from CBT, DBT, music therapy, and experiential therapy, I partner with families to support meaningful growth in each child, teen, or young adult.

My specialty areas include: ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, mood disorders (e.g. depression and anxiety), developmental disorders and related symptoms (feeding disorders, sleep problems, toilet training), cognitive and learning impairments, disruptive behavioral problems, social difficulties, parent coaching, and family relationship issues.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who has been working within the field for 10+ years. My work focuses on both assessment and treatment of toddlers, children, and teens who are experiencing difficulties with behavior, mood, development, and cognition. Though I tailor my treatment to the individual needs of each client, I most often incorporate behavioral and solution-focused techniques and work collaboratively with others in the child's life. Now in private practice, I previously worked for various schools and clinics in Chicago, IL, Nationwide Children' s Hospital in OH, and the National Institutes of Health in MD.

As a skilled verbal & art psychotherapist with nearly 2 decades of experience, I love providing support for those with anxiety, depression, ADHD, Level 1 Autism & (formerly) Aspergers; and supporting parents of children who have or may have these differences.
Have you ever felt like therapy didn’t quite bring relief, or as if you were ‘failing’ at treatment? Feeling burnt out and unsure why, or facing the challenges of parenting a unique child? You’re not alone and certainly not a failure! Not every therapeutic approach is a fit for everyone, and some can even amplify distress—particularly when neurodiversity goes unrecognized and unsupported. Gaining a deeper understanding of how your mind works and exploring strategies tailored to diverse neurotypes can be transformative, fostering increased confidence, improved behaviors, & enriched relationships for a more fulfilling quality of life.

Is someone you love struggling with substance use or ADHD?
Being a therapist for people navigating addiction or ADHD means holding space for complexity, resilience, and real struggle. Managing relationships and effectively communicating with partners or family members can feel even harder during those times. As a couple and family therapist, I can be a mediator and provide tools to help foster change.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
