There is someone in this life meant to motivate you to evolve, validate your experiences, empower you to get justice, or all three. If I am that person then you will request an appointment so I can get to know the powerful, intelligent, beautiful person that you are. I am Hispanic, born and raised in the Bronx, NY, an NYU MSW graduate, and what I loved most about NYC were the 9 million life stories being written every day. I'll be honored to witness your story. Available online only!

I have taken many additional pieces of training in Trauma-informed counseling, DBT, CBT, EMDR, Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and of course crafts/painting.
Hi all, I am Linda, and I have a deep passion for helping folks grow to the heights they want to achieve. I have been a counselor for many years, and have spent a great deal of time helping those who have experienced trauma. I love working with people and have a special place in my heart for the Arts and Music. For many years I owned a woodcraft and ceramic business and continue to keep crafts close. I was a non-traditional student and received my bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology in 1996 from East Stroudsburg University and completed my Master's Degree in Social Work in 2020. I am currently licensed as an LCSW in PA and Mass

Many of my clients have come to me after being diagnosed fully believing that their lives were over. Mental health issues do not define who you are as a person. They are just a small part of why we react in particular situations, in specific ways. I have a passion to help my clients and their families to discover not only how to overcome their mental health issues, but to thrive.

My ideal client is any individual or couple that is willing to do the therapeutic work required to make change. A therapist cannot solve client issues without an invested client. I strive to incorporate a client's life into session, so that when they leave the office they can move through their life with relevant skills. The client's needs are paramount, and I am merely a guide through the growth and learning process.

I’m trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy ( DBT), both powerful, evidence-based methods for working through trauma and building resilience.
I'm a trauma therapist who works with individuals navigating the impact of trauma, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and the long process of healing. My approach is rooted in the belief that you are the expert on your own life, and therapy should feel like a collaboration—not a lecture.

Life can feel overwhelming when your brain never seems to slow down. Maybe you’re a teen trying to keep up with school, socializing, family expectations, sports, or activities. Maybe you’re a college student struggling with burnout, anxiety, loneliness, or feeling like everyone else has life figured out except you. Or maybe you’re an adult navigating work, relationships and the pressure of trying to “keep it together” while internally feeling exhausted, stuck, or disconnected. If you’re living with ADHD, Autism, anxiety, depression, trauma or simply trying to navigate a difficult life transitions, you are not alone.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapists
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behavior and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behavior, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioral change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behavior; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
