“Nothing is impossible; the word itself says “I’m possible.”- Audrey Hepburn. I believe that one’s potential is based on the foundation of trust, support, creativity, and awareness of what brings out their best. I believe that sometimes core beliefs, triggers, values that are not aligned, and trauma responses can put us in a place that feels stuck. My mission in therapy is to help others learn and apply tools to navigate the path to empowerment. These tools can help to release emotions and thought patterns that are contributing to doubt and uncertainty.

I have worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families to address emotion regulation, parenting approaches, anxiety, stress management, life transitions, executive functioning problems, and attachment issues. I use an eclectic approach to counseling, drawing from different theories to best meet each individual client’s needs. I meet clients where they are at and draw from their strengths to help them create meaningful connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Growth and positive change comes from the exploration and incorporation of all parts of the self.

Healing happens within relationship. That has been my personal experience and my primary focus in the counseling relationship. I strongly believe that we are all doing the best that we can at any given moment. However we are managing to cope, having a trusting and safe place to be is essential. My first task in any counseling relationship is to establish and build upon that safe place. As the counseling relationship builds and strengthens, we will collaboratively develop a plan for meeting your goals. I will work to gently guide you in growing and sustaining compassion and care for yourself during that process.

One of my greatest joys in life is helping others. I consider it a privilege to walk with people of all ages who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or want to better understand how their past experiences may be influencing their present circumstances. It is important to me that the therapeutic relationship is rooted in safety, belonging, and compassion. I am especially passionate about helping children and adults as they navigate the impacts of trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions.

Reaching out for therapy is a meaningful first step, especially if life has been feeling heavy, overwhelming, or stuck. If you’re here, you may be hoping for better days and you don’t have to get there on your own. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly, understand what’s been holding you back, and begin creating real, lasting change. I work collaboratively with clients to explore patterns, build practical coping tools, and develop greater self-awareness and emotional balance.

I strongly believe that all people have the ability to live their best life when given the opportunity and the right tools for them. Each journey is just as unique as the individual who embarks on it. The work I do with clients is person centered, motivationally driven, and tailored to meet the needs of each person no matter where they are on their therapeutic journey. Whether this is your first time seeking therapy, or have decided to try again, I would be honored to meet you where you are and guide you toward reaching your personal goals.

Once these symptoms feel more manageable, we can then use other empirical therapies like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to empower you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself and overcome future obstacles.
You've worked hard to get where you are, but now you're feeling stuck. Whether you know exactly what's in the way, or you have no idea where to start, you don't have to figure it out alone. I've worked with college students navigating life transitions, high-performing professionals struggling to balance the demands of work and home, and people feeling disconnected from everyone around them. I am especially passionate about helping clients with neurodivergence make sense of current and historical struggles through a non-judgmental, self-compassionate lens. I provide individual telehealth sessions to men, women, and non-binary adults.

I use a mix of evidence-based approaches (like ACT, somatic work, and mindfulness) with a good dose of humor and humanity.
I get it—life can be messy. But in that mess, there’s also room for growth, healing, and the occasional laugh. We’ll work on uncovering patterns, building resilience, and making life feel a little more manageable (and a lot more you).

I specialize in trauma-informed therapy using EMDR and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ( ACT).
Do you feel stuck in patterns shaped by trauma, anxiety, or painful past experiences? My ideal clients are adults who appear “high-functioning” on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or on edge internally. They want relief from intrusive memories, emotional reactivity, and self-doubt, and are seeking meaningful healing, not just coping. They’re ready to understand themselves more deeply, feel grounded in the present, and move forward with clarity, confidence, and emotional stability.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
