Under clinical supervision I am focusing on trauma recovery, PTSD, anxiety, depression, or anything else life can throw at you. Home, work, school, family, etc can all require a lot of our physical and mental energy. However, you do not have to go unheard or navigate difficult times alone.

Most recently, I served in executive leadership in inpatient psychiatry and am highly trained in safety planning and crisis prevention, intervention, and trauma processing.
Hey there, weary traveler! I am so glad you finally made it. Welcome to your new personal sanctuary, where you can drop those bags and begin to unpack whatever you have been carrying with you for so long. We all come with a story, and it is my solemn duty to partner with you to take control of the pen and write new chapters that align with your innermost self. In a world of constant crisis, violence, instability, and fear, we can begin to lose sight of the meaning of it all, or the fact that our greatest strength is in our vulnerabilities. I want to know who you truly are, and work together to find healing and beauty in the pain.

I specialize in working with those who suffer from anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, and trauma, but also, a number of other issues which brings people to treatment who are looking for relief from their symptoms.
Trauma has its roots in many of the symptoms people experience. That is why I have worked extensively with families. Trauma get filtered down through the generations, and those who were traumatized unintentionally traumatize family members. I continue to work with families but much of my work has now become individualized.

My hopes are to provide an environment which allows positive growth to occur in individuals lives through psychoeducation, skill development, and trauma processing.
Mental health symptoms—like depression, anxiety, anger, or chronic stress—are not the problem in themselves, but signals from within. They’re often the body and mind’s way of saying, ‘Something isn’t right,’ or ‘Something needs to change.’ In therapy, we create a safe and intentional space to explore these signals with curiosity and compassion. Together, we work to understand the underlying needs, build insight, and develop a more supportive relationship with yourself.

From this understanding and processing your unique story, you can let go of traumas that control you, anxiety and depression road blocks, bad relationships, and the overall emotional pain that may prevent you from living a happy and fulfilling life that gets you excited to wake up to everyday.
So what is it like working with me? Therapy should not be a one-sided conversation and I'm definitely not a smile-and-nod therapist. I want to work collaboratively WITH you and I can promise that I am as real as it gets. You may hear me swear (haha), laugh hard with you, and just be my authentic self. For you to be real with me, I also need to be real too.

You may quietly wonder whether this is anxiety, trauma, or depression, and why it feels so hard to feel safe and settled in your body.
Together, we’ll trace the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and body, the places where tension, insecurity, or fear get activated. I use relational, IFS, and somatic approaches to help you care for those parts of yourself so they no longer activate again.

When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.
How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.
What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.
Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
