Amanda is highly experienced in treating young adults and adolescents struggling with substance abuse and eating disorders. She also is passionate about helping the everyday parent, spouse, college student or teen who is having a difficult time managing life's ups and downs and transitions. Amanda is able to address common underlying issues such as depression, anxiety, low self-confidence, and relationship issues. Amanda helps each client gain insight into negative thoughts and behaviors and teaches them coping skills to utilize in challenging times.

Using techniques I've learned over 15+ years of experience as a counselor and psychotherapist coupled with years of acquired knowledge over a lifetime, I believe together we can deal with any issues you may bring to me. Born and raised in the Newark riots Felecia Burton, AAS, BS, MA, Ed.S, ABD, AAC is no stranger to the survivor narrative. As a Recovery Specialist and D & A Counselor nothing gives her more pleasure than having the ability to invoke the power of CHANGE in others when delivering a clear message of hope. In 2007 with two years of sobriety and seeking greatness Felecia enrolled into CCP and received an associate degree and in 2009 Felecia went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Counseling at Drexel University, then a Masters in Psychology from NCU and a doctorate from American College of Education in Leadership.

When you enter a session with me, I want you to feel safe to explore personal and relational issues in a collaborative manner. I am a systemically trained therapist who empowers clients to identify and pursue effective solutions to their identified problems. I work with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, relational conflict, marital conflict and parenting and co-parenting conflict. I invite individuals, couples and/or families/groups into sessions and into the change process in order to address all facets of the issue at hand.

We are a fully state licensed Drug and Alcohol Outpatient Facility. We implement only evidence-based practices. Our clinical practice guidelines are based on current research findings along with recommendations by panels composed of experts in the field. Troubling events and traumas happen to all of us, but as we explore old beliefs and process through difficult emotions, it is possible to alter those ingrained habits that prevent growth, and move into a more free experience of yourself. I have an open, relaxed, interactive style based on a holistic perspective.
