Taking the time and energy to reflect and change is difficult, and it is a privilege for me to part of that process with you! I believe that everyone deserves and is able to achieve peace within themselves, with their bodies, and with their relationship with food. This means no more dieting. No more hatred towards your body. And no more "good and bad" foods. Body acceptance and eating intuitively without shame is possible. While my approach is eclectic and based on your needs and goals, it is always relational, person-centered, and goal oriented in an effort for you to feel better...with some humor mixed in as well!

Do your thoughts and emotions feel like they’re running the show, leaving you overwhelmed and stuck? You or your child may be fed up with a racing mind, constant self-doubt, and a struggle to stay focused. One thing is clear: you're ready for change. You're ready for calm, clarity, and to finally take charge—building the balanced, fulfilling life you and your family deserve.

I’ve always been a natural listener who considers it an honor to sit with people in their pain. I offer a safe, supportive space where you can feel seen, heard, and deeply understood. I am gentle, easy-going, and compassionate in my care. I work well with those that want to take a deeper look at their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, longings, relationships, and past wounds. My approach to therapy is trauma-informed and attachment-based, with an emphasis on the role of the therapeutic relationship in healing. I integrate insight-oriented work with practical skill-building to support both emotional healing and symptom relief.

(Please note that I am NOT accepting private clients at this time and I am only available as a clinical supervisor) Greetings! I know how challenging it can be to find a supervisor that feels like a right match as you embark on your licensure journey. I like to approach supervision with a holistic, flexible, ethical and reflective style. Together we can work towards skill development and professional growth within an emotionally safe space. I believe knowledge is a gift to be shared which is a value I try to embody between supervisor and supervisee.

You may be dealing with the kind of loss that changes how you move through the world. The death of someone important to you. A suicide loss. Ongoing grief connected to chronic pain or illness. It may feel like your world has shifted in ways other people don’t fully understand. If you’re here, you may be exhausted from trying to hold it all together. My work centers on helping people make space for what they have been through while slowly rebuilding a life that still feels meaningful. My style is real, collaborative, and goal-oriented while moving at a pace that respects your nervous system.

You may be carrying grief, anxiety, trauma, or exhaustion that others can’t see. Maybe you’ve been pushing through, holding space for everyone else, or questioning who you are beneath it all. You want support that honors your lived experience — not labels or quick fixes. You’re seeking a space where you can slow down, feel safe enough to be honest, and begin reconnecting with yourself and what truly matters.

Life can be overwhelming. There can be struggles; relationship issues, life transitions, the trauma of an accident or abuse. Sometimes talking with friends or family doesn't help. Talking with someone who can listen carefully, who is empathic and offers confidentiality can help. I believe it is this therapeutic relationship, based on a foundation of trust and respect that provides a safe place to take the risks that are necessary for change. I can help you recognize your internal strengths and positive qualities which will encourage you to see more possibilites for yourself.

I have over 30 years experience helping adolescents and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and communication issues. My approach is very straight forward and down to earth. I believe adolescents seek a place to express themselves where they will be heard and not judged. I help them develop strategies to overcome their challenges by identifying feelings, developing and practicing coping skills, and increasing positive communication skills in their relationships. When appropriate, I work closely with parents, schools and probation to ensure we're all working toward the same goal.

Healing is a process, but not one that needs to be done alone. We all encounter challenges, problems and stress that can impact us and often leave us wounded. Emotionally wounded that is. Anxiety can feel crushing and crippling. Depression can feel dark and lonely. Relationship problems can feel confusing and hopeless. Keeping up with the demands of life can be challenging with all the burdens that weigh us down or consume our hearts and minds.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
