I have an excessive training in CBT and Mindfulness and hold a certification in perinatal mental health
Imagine being a woman—or a mom—who isn’t constantly overwhelmed by racing thoughts, pressure, or the feeling that you have to hold everything together. No longer running on empty, snapping more than you’d like, or quietly wondering why this feels so much harder than it “should.” You might look like you’re managing, but inside you feel stretched thin, disconnected, or unsure of who you are beyond everything you carry. You’ve tried to make changes, you understand life is demanding, but a calmer, more grounded version of yourself still feels out of reach.

Are anxiety and overwhelm getting in the way of you living the life you want? Maybe you feel like you've been having more bad days than good days. Your friends, family, or partner want to help but they don't know how. Do you feel like no matter how hard you try, nothing seems to work? Have you recently realized, "something has to change here." If you are looking to learn new skills and feel like yourself again, you have come to the right place. I work together with my clients to break their stuck cycle and finally start to do things differently.

I specialize in working with adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, and the emotional complexities of pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood.
My approach blends therapy with practical, real-life strategies. Together, we’ll not only explore what you’re feeling, but also build tools that help you function more effectively in your daily life. I take a neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based approach, helping you better understand how your mind works so you can work with it instead of against it.

I’m trained in the Gottman Method, use evidence-based approaches like CBT, and am certified in perinatal mental health (PMH-C).
People come to therapy for different reasons—sometimes clear, sometimes harder to put into words. If something in your life or relationship feels off, we’ll make sense of it together. I work with couples who feel disconnected, stuck in the same patterns, or unsure how to talk about what matters. I also support individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward. Many are navigating life transitions—becoming a parent, struggling to become one, or adjusting to roles and identities that don’t feel how they expected. We focus on understanding what’s driving it, so you can decide what feels right to change.

Are you feeling stuck? I help clients feel seen, understood and empowered to create change in their lives and relationships. I see my role in the therapeutic relationship as a catalyst to help increase awareness and trust to support freedom of expression, insight, and healing. In therapy sessions, I work in collaboration with individuals and couples to identify areas that are inhibiting quality of life and focus on building existing strengths and new skills. I believe that each individual is an expert in their own lives and has the strengths and potential to actualize the change they want to see.

The process of finding a psychologist who is a good fit for either yourself or a family member can be overwhelming and frustrating. I make it a point to ensure that clients who reach out to me feel heard and understood. Therapy can only be effective if it is a collaborative process in which clients feel they have a say in their own treatment. I mainly practice from a cognitive-behavioral perspective (CBT), but I also use other modalities in sessions in order to best meet the needs of my clients.

An ideal client for me is someone who has difficulty managing their emotions, engages in frequent negative thinking, and has trouble communicating their needs with family and friends. They want to decrease their anxious or depressive behaviors but have little knowledge of how to begin regulating their emotions.

Are you committed to “showing up”? You may have difficulty finding independence in your unhealthy family dynamics and are working on finding a sense of self outside your relationships. You have dealt with anxiety and negative thoughts and no longer want these issues to hold you back.

We treat women and men with anxiety, addiction, depression, postpartum concerns, relationship challenges/couples counseling, and trauma.
Anxious. Overwhelmed. Stressed. Going away to college. Graduating. Going through a break-up. Starting a new job. Moving. Newly married. Newly divorced. Trying to figure out who you are in this season. Having a baby. Returning to work...or not. Sound familiar? Let's chat! We work with adults 18, including college students. Many are high achievers with great insight and are trying to gain clarity into their life's calling and/or relationships, while others have high-functioning anxiety, and still others are experiencing a stressful season of life and need help getting "unstuck." Some are trying to untangle their relationships.

Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum Therapists
What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?
The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.

When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?
Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.

How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?
A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioral therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviors. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.

Are there specific medications for postpartum depression?
In 2019, the FDA approved the first medication designed to treat postpartum depression. The medication is called brexanolone and is delivered intravenously by a medical professional over the course of a few days. However, typical antidepressants, which are more accessible, can also treat postpartum depression. The disorder is often best treated through a combination of medication and therapy.
