Seeking help is a daunting task and finding the right person to assist you on your journey is equally difficult. At Radnor Therapy, I guide clients and/or families toward emotional efficacy. I assist clientele in coping with emotional stress, mental health, or addiction issues, through coaching and therapy. I have over 30 years of experience working with clients and families dealing with mental health and substance abuse/addiction. If I can't help, I'll connect you with someone who can. Having founded Adolescent Advocates in 2005 and sold in 2023, I have faced extreme adversity with great success and connected with many colleagues.

Teens, young adults, and families face challenges and hardships that may feel insurmountable. A time of great potential for personal growth for a young person and for each family member is often hindered by rigid patterns of relating and communicating. It can be difficult to start talking about what is not working and what needs to change.

It is my belief that everyone has suffered from a mood disturbance at one time in their life. What makes for different diagnosis is the intensity of the mood change and the duration. I believe we fuel our mood by our own cognitions and unhealthy habits and coping skills. My style is extremely interactive and direct, insuring results early on in the treatment process. When possible, I try treatment without medications, however there are chemical imbalances which must be treated via a Psychiatrist (for medications) and a psychotherapist for the psychoeducational piece,(talk therapy).I maintain relationships with area psychiatrists.

Life can be difficult. Have you been feeling overwhelmed? Do you find yourself repeating the same patterns, with the same painful results? We can work to find the source of these patterns and understand the messages impacting your life. As a therapist, my goal is to create a collaborative relationship in which you find the support, warmth and safety to challenge the thoughts, beliefs and behaviors that may be holding you back. I would be honored to hear your story and work with you towards change and healing.

I am a firm believer in the power of the therapeutic relationship. My goal is to utilize your expert knowledge of your own life in combination with my clinical background to create a better quality of life for you. There's no denying it: life is hard, and it doesn't come with a manual. Sometimes, getting through the day can be a challenge, even in the best of circumstances. But it doesn't have to feel that way. I work with adults who want to boost their self-esteem, lower their stress and anxiety, and improve their communication skills in many different types of relationships. My clients tend to be adults who are struggling to balance the life they are working to build against the stress of leading a life that doesn't come with a manual.

My mission is to provide a space filled with feelings of hope, safety, and trust that will allow others to undergo positive life transformation through a shared therapeutic journey.
I believe that therapy is a healing space. A space that allows us, when ready and prepared, to explore patterns and acquire insights about ourselves. I can support you to obtain your goals, in a way that you can healthy process the challenges that come along with it. And in the treatment find new ways to address them when you are feeling “stuck”.

My focus of interest is to become a therapeutic container to support the exploration of the mind-body connection within children and teens. I believe that the body carries valuable information about ourselves and our minds are actively trying to interpret it. I specialize in children who seek to improve their body awareness which provides coping skills for self-regulation, positive self-talk and overall physical/mental wellness. I have experience working with children with autism, adopted families, neurodivergent movers and people simply want a better connection with their bodies

My highest therapeutic priority is the relationship I establish with the patients I treat. I describe the ideal connection as safe, non-judgmental, and mutually accountable and consider these factors to be instrumental to a person’s healing and recovery. My capacity to embrace all walks of life and ability to help humans feel comfortable in their own skin has made my long standing career as a therapist full and dynamic. I bring comprehensive, therapeutic skills to my practice. I am thoroughly skilled and experienced to treat depression, substance abuse and personality disorders.

Reaching out is the 1st step toward feeling relief and achieving personal, family or professional goals. Therapy offers private time with support to take a fresh look at your situation and evaluate options. I bring to the room more than 20 years of experience in clinical practice, as well as designing and directing treatment programs, training therapists, and publishing in the field. People I work with tell me I am easy to talk to, warm and non-judgmental. They appreciate my ability to 'keep it real,' helping develop practical solutions in 3 - 12 sessions, or in longer-term therapy.

The problems that bring us to therapy often start as solutions to life's problems, our best efforts to get by in a difficult world. When these solutions stop working, and when depression and anxiety break through despite our best efforts to cope, it is wise to seek help. You are giving yourself a gift in doing so.

Many people find themselves feeling disconnected from who they truly are. They might struggle to identify their desires, express their needs, or put themselves before others. The pressure can feel overwhelming. If any of this resonates with you, you’re in exactly the right place and I’m so glad you’re here. As a therapist, my goal is to help you reconnect with (or discover for the first time!) your truest self. I believe that connection is the basis of healing so I prioritize creating a safe and nurturing therapeutic space, where we work together to heal your relationship with others and, most importantly, with yourself.

Seeking solutions to enact change? Are you done with worksheets, breathing exercises and lack of concrete action steps? Examining problems requires help of an honest, direct, solution focused clinician with a concrete approach. Anxiety, co-dependent patterns ("people pleasing") or just trying to understand an experience to determine next steps look different when explored thru a "curious" approach. Every focused, achieving individual wants to "fix it" or do whatever it takes to feel better to live better. A solution focused approach operates on reason and concrete actions to take fostering hope.

Are you a parent of a struggling TEEN who needs support or an ADULT who feels stuck and unsure of your path? I can help! I have never forgotten how it feels to be a teen, and as an adult I am no stranger to life's struggles and finding our way. I understand what it is like to be out of the box and find a place in the world. I, too, feel I am out of the box, as are my techniques. I believe laughter should find its place even in the darkest places and weave humor wherever it may fit. I am also well versed in all methods, such as CBT, DBT, ACT, etc., but the connection between therapist and client is essential for growth.
