I believe that everything we do and are as people makes sense when we understand the context of our lives. Every area of one’s life affects another in some way, shape, or form. Therefore, I find it quite helpful to explore the areas of physical, emotional, and other areas of health to put all the pieces together to make a complete puzzle picture. With an accurate picture, it may feel as though things begin to “click” and “make sense.” With an accurate framework, we can begin to address the root of the issues you might be experiencing at the pace that you are comfortable with so that foundational progress can take place.

People need different things in their lives and when they come to therapy they can expect a calm, quiet atmosphere and a place where they can express themselves in ways that they may have never felt safe enough to do so. There are so many challenges in life and individuals should take pride in recognizing that it takes strength to reach out for guidance.

Hi, I’m Diana. If you’re here, I’m guessing you’re feeling stretched way too thin — emotionally, mentally, maybe even physically.
You might be navigating the intense chaos of new parenthood while also trying to break cycles, heal from your own childhood wounds, and raise emotionally healthy kids — all at once. That’s no small task. Maybe you’re feeling burnt out, stuck in people-pleasing, second-guessing everything, or just incredibly alone in what you're going through. You don't have to figure it all out by yourself.

I have over 20 years of experience with children, adolescents, individual adults, and marriages.
I view persons as made up of emotions, thoughts, relationships, biology, and our spiritual selves. Consequently, I first help you stabilize by making necessary changes in behavior. Medical or neurological contributions and possible nutritional deficiencies are examined. I address any distorted thinking that is contributing to your emotional pain. If systems in your life (family, work, school) are a factor, they are also addressed. Finally, we work with the larger questions of existence (spiritual issues, issues of purpose/ meaning), which are all vital to mental health. All areas are dealt with from a solid grounding in scientific literature and research.

I have over five years of experience working with adults, adolescents and couples, with a focus on trauma care.
Telehealth only - All too often, trauma and hardship rob people of their full capacity to act, feel, think and speak. I believe that helping you find your voice is one of my jobs as a therapist. Finding that voice looks different for everyone and I believe in treating each individual as a whole person, not just as a diagnosis. Even the most surface symptoms are often indicative of much deeper issues, and I strive to provide a safe space for exploring both. I believe that the success of therapy is marked by both achieving more "wholeness," and evolving to become the best version of yourself.

I work with teens, young adults, and adults navigating the messy parts of life—whether that is anxiety, depression, identity questions, big transitions, or a deep sense of “I just don’t feel like myself lately
I’m deeply attuned to how heavy things can get—and how important it is to feel genuinely seen in the therapy space. I draw from evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, ACT, and emotion-focused therapy, but I’ll never treat you like a checklist of symptoms. We’ll blend practical tools with curiosity, compassion, and just enough challenge to help you grow!

Teen Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.
How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.
How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.
How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
