Services are provided both face to face in the office as well as online through a secure platform.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and National Certified Counselor. I started my career focusing on mental health. I worked with children and adolescents in a school based program as well as with adults in a community day program. Later, I began specializing in addiction at an inpatient drug and alcohol treatment facility. Most recently, I have been at an inpatient psychiatric hospital prior to moving full-time into private practice. I work with both individuals and families to address mental health and substance use concerns.

I offer therapy in-person on Friday mornings in Indiana, PA, and virtually throughout Pennsylvania.
You’re tired, touched out, and trying to do it all — maybe while quietly unraveling. You’re carrying the mental load of motherhood, the grief of what didn’t go as planned, or anxiety that won’t let up. You want to feel like yourself again—or figure out who that even is now. You’re looking for support that feels grounding and real. You don’t need fixing—just space to reconnect.

I continue to see clients in-person.
If you are looking for a therapist who can help you feel more in control of your life and your emotions, you are at the right place. I have experience working with people suffering from anxiety, depression, and difficult life transitions. Getting to know yourself deeper is a primary goal of therapy, as it will allow you to figure out what you might need in life: your relationships, work life, hobbies. You will discover healthy ways to cope with things outside of your control, instead of using self-destructive ways. I will assist you by offering a space free of judgment and stigma.

Not accepting new clients
**NOT accepting new patients**. My approach is based on building strong relationships because trust and compassion is essential for change. While emotional pain is universal, every person is unique. I listen with empathy and provide honest feedback to help people grow and heal. I have experience with diverse populations in addressing struggles with trauma histories, mood disorders, boundaries, identity, and relationships. We will address how to get through the worst parts of the day right away, but we also discover what is keeping us stuck in not so helpful patterns. I believe this approach gives more relief in the long term.

I have in person availability Monday-Thursday and am currently not taking on virtual clients at this time :)
There are many external pressures and challenges this world throws our way. It is my goal to support folks through these difficulties and guide cultivation of inner strength and radical self-acceptance. I have a passion for working with tweens and teens and helping them to create a healthy relationship with themselves and honor their world view. I have struggled with my own challenges that presented in my adolescence and hope that my life experience/ training can offer some light during this challenging part of life. I use diagnosis as a framework and am person first.

Are you feeling stuck in cycles of anxiety or intrusive thoughts that won’t let up? Maybe you’re navigating a major life transition — a new career, relationship changes, or questioning your next chapter — and everything feels uncertain or overwhelming. If so, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. I specialize in working with individuals struggling with OCD, anxiety, and life transitions. OCD and anxiety can be exhausting — the constant doubt, mental rituals, avoidance, or need for reassurance can take over your day and leave you feeling frustrated or ashamed.

I've worked with teens and adults having a hard time living authentically or finding joy, questioning their identity, living with overwhelming guilt or shame, unable to find "forgiveness", battling assorted addictions, not performing their sport at expected level, other people's judgment weighing them down, can't concentrate on work or class, lacking motivation, grieving a loss of someone or something, Covid fatigue, chronic illness, heavy secrets, winter blues, frustrating political atmosphere... these are just some examples of what people battled who have found freedom in talk therapy/counseling with me.

If you’re feeling stuck in patterns that keep repeating in relationships, with anxiety, or within yourself, you’re not alone. Many of us carry old wounds and coping patterns that once helped us survive but now hold us back. My hope is to create a space that feels safe and steady, where you can breathe, be seen, and begin to heal what’s been too heavy to hold on your own.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
