I am an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist and Sex Therapy Supervisor with extensive experience in teaching and supervising students of sex, individual and couple therapy.
I am dedicated to helping each individual, couple or family find the keys to a happier and more satisfying life. To this end, I make a special effort to understand each person's dilemmas and what it would take to help them increase their experiences of joy and pleasure in their personal lives, one moment at a time. As the sources of pain emerge in therapy, I include each person's needs in the search for steps forward. My practice includes many individuals and couples who suffer from depression, anxiety, relationship distress, sexual dissatisfaction and the effects of past trauma.

With everything going on in your world, ADHD may feel like the last thing you want to be dealing with right now. Between work, family, and trying to meet your personal goals, it can feel like ADHD is just throwing a wrench in everything. Maybe you’ve tried to get a handle on it before, or maybe this is your first time seeking help. Whatever brought you here, I’m really glad you made it. It’s not easy admitting that things could be smoother, and let’s face it, everyone could use a little help sometimes. You deserve to feel more in control, more balanced, and like you’re finally able to follow through on the things that matter to you.

Welcome fellow warriors! As a therapist, a unique factor of supporting individuals, couples, and families is their lived experience. Each story is different from the next though all share the same characteristic, resilience. Through each journey, the hardships brought unbearable pain, though underneath, the foundation of resilience is building, preparing each for managing the next difficulty in life. Resilient. Your journey through life gives you this gift, and with my commitment to upholding an authentic, honest relationship, I will travel the road with you to find your resiliency.

I hold dual degrees in clinical psychology and human sexuality with a specialty in adult ADHD, couples therapy, and LGBTQIA-related issues.
Living with ADHD can often feel like a daily battle with yourself to accomplish tasks, maintain relationships, and attend to your own needs, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Learning how to work with, rather than against, your ADHD can be a transformative experience, and I would be honored to work with you through this journey. Together in therapy, we can work to tackle the challenges of ADHD while also bolstering your natural strengths and coming into and honoring your most authentic self. I work to create a therapeutic space that is constructive, creative, and above all compassionate. I can’t wait to welcome you in.

I work best with clients who are seeking deep transformation. In my experience, true healing begins when we tend to our core wounds and gently clear the blocks that prevent us from living in alignment with our deeper truth and inner integrity. My approach is rooted in the belief that to fully return to ourselves, we must release the imprints of trauma—personal, ancestral, and collective—as well as the layers of social conditioning that disconnect us from who we are. I pay close attention to the relational field, and the ways relational trauma and disconnection shape our sense of self.

I feel both honored and privileged to partner with individuals and couples to build their understanding of their challenges, leverage their strengths, and create personalized strategies to make meaningful changes in their lives. As a therapist with ADHD, I recognize that one of the most painful experiences that come with ADHD is feeling “in your own way” and the sense of thwarted potential that comes along with it. I also know that ADHD doesn’t just impact attention, organization, and motivation; it can affect your entire life, from your performance at work to your home life and inner world.

Couples therapy in Philadelphia and Bryn Mawr often begins when partners feel stuck in recurring conflict, emotional distance, or trust issues after rupture or chronic miscommunication. You may love each other deeply yet feel exhausted, misunderstood, or afraid nothing will change. Many couples seeking couples counseling are navigating trauma, stress, parenting demands, life transitions, or attachment wounds that make closeness hard to access. What most couples want isn’t just fewer arguments—it’s emotional safety, better communication, and a genuine sense of reconnection.

Sex Therapy
Who is sex therapy for?
Sex problems are common in relationships. Many people want a better sex life and want to feel loved and desired by their partner. It is difficult for couples to resolve sexual problems on their own because people often feel ashamed to talk about their sexual desires fearing they are not normal, when in fact a very broad range of preferences and behaviors are normal. A sex therapist can help clarify this and other matters.

Why do people need sex therapy?
Many people do not know how to talk about their erotic needs or their emotional needs, both of which are addressed in sex therapy. Couples often live with sexual difficulties for years before seeking help, and in that time, partners may experience so much disappointment and alienation that they may fear their problems mean they are incompatible. Once people experience disappointment, it is difficult to find resolution without help.

What happens in sex therapy?
People have many misconceptions about what takes place in sex therapy. First, it is a form of talk therapy in which partners discuss their sexual concerns; it does not involve touching or physical exploration of any kind. Sex therapy typically helps couples get comfortable talking to each other about sex so that, in the privacy of their home life, they can openly discuss their sexual desires and make decisions about what they want to do. Couples are typically assigned activities to do at home that build intimacy skills.

What kinds of problems do sex therapists treat?
Very often, partners differ in their degree of sexual desire and struggle over how often to have sex. Or they may have fights about porn use or have difficulty connecting sexually after one partner is unfaithful. Men may have problems with premature ejaculation. Women may find themselves struggling to become aroused or to achieve an orgasm. Sometimes partners feel like they have lost the sense of attraction to their partner. These are all common issues dealt with in sex therapy.
