There are many lifetimes in a lifetime. Within every season of life, a transitional stage happens and identity changes. Our development is fueled by the need to adapt to new circumstances. We are constantly engaged in a process of reflecting and problem solving. There is little that shakes us more significantly than the death of a beloved, divorce, empty nest, experiencing trauma, or facing any number of life changes that bring more loss and sadness. We wonder why it no longer works to hide from our own pain. Healing begins when we finally reach awareness-a place where we can express our grief and suppressed trauma.
My specialty certification is in grief/trauma. My practice is sensitive to women's issues seeking healing after loss of a child, trauma/attachment wounds, relationship/sexual trauma, childhood trauma, caregiving, transitional seasons of a woman's life, chronic or life shortening illness and empty nest, traumatic loss/grief especially after suicidal loss.
Healing invites mind, body, and spirit to draw toward the truth of who you are.Therapy is an invitation to explore what old or current wounds still keep you in bondage, the hidden areas within yourself needing forgiveness, and exploring what your body would tell you about your life that is seeking release. Knoxville Suicide Grievers support group
I have been leading the Support Group since 1996. It is for adults who are grieving the suicidal loss of a significant person in their life. This group is one of the nation-wide SOS groups (AFSP). It is requested that you send an EMAIL inquiry prior to attending first group meeting. Effective January 2026, I've moved the meeting location to New Life Gathering Church 1300 Rocky Hill Rd. Knoxville,Tn. This location is providing us with more space for our meetings. (Also view Out of the Darkness Walk website to benefit AFSP held each Oct.)
