I love working with clients who are desperate to have lasting love in their lives, but don’t feel worthy of it. My name is Owen (they/them), and I am an associate marriage and family therapist. I work with clients on the verge of relationship changes (moving in together, opening up a marriage, getting serious with dating for the first time in a while), and take a direct approach in building tangible communication skills and self-worth that result in being confident in your ability to maintain a relationship and actually receive the love you’ve been craving. I help clients get out of their own heads and into the world around them.
I have a history in queer sex-ed, polyamory counseling, and medical trauma work. I have done premarital counseling, relationship OCD, and partnership work. I also support the individual in their search for meaning in relationships. I'm Asian American, biracial, and third-culture, and utilize a collectivist approach. I work with both couples and individuals.
I use a direct approach and tangible application of skills that go beyond just talk therapy and processing. I use ERP, ACT, Narrative, and IFS, among other applications, depending on client needs.
