Owaissa Carter Vanderberg is not currently accepting new clients.

I use Bibliotherapy, Narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing, along with actively using metaphors to solicit insight for the individual to create a more expansive and helpful perspective through a Humanist and Existential lens. Clients are encouraged to explore their life-story to discover the themes and strengths that allow them to find their own solutions toward healthy changes and positive growth. I provide an environment in which clients feel safe enough to express a wide range of emotions, to learn to embrace a more authentic self, and to discover new avenues for hopefulness and freedom.

I rely heavily on the theorists, Carl Jung and Alfred Adler along with borrowing techniques and interventions from Carl Rogers and Virginia Satir.

I am a certified Thanatologist working in the field of grief support and death-education. My professional focus has been in end-of-life education, supporting death-event transitions, anticipatory grief, loss, and bereavement counseling where I actively promote a mourning positive awareness through a variety of grief supports in a culturally competent manner.
