I specialize in the treatment of depression and anxiety, with specific training in treating addiction and co-occurring disorders. I am additionally skilled in working with women and highly attuned to the unique challenges they face as adolescents and throughout the lifespan; including body image, stereotyping, domestic and dating violence, pregnancy and postpartum, motherhood, and maintaining career/family balance.

I AM currently accepting new clients. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. I work from a psychotherapeutic perspective grounded in humanistic and modern psychoanalytic practice. I work with individuals to explore their current suffering, symptoms, problems, and relationships and how these themes are related to earlier patterns of experience. My focus is on gaining a deep understanding of the individuals I work with that pays great respect to the person’s unique personality style, cultural differences, differences in sexual orientation and gender experience, and unique relationship patterns.

Greg was born and raised in Pittsburgh and graduated from Duquesne University with degrees in Psychology and Sociology, and Counseling. He is an experienced therapist and clinical supervisor with a background that ranges from teenagers to seniors, spanning both mental health and substance abuse. He has worked in foster care, drug & alcohol/recovery, and mental health settings. Greg uses a person-centered approach to help people through a wide variety of life events and struggles. He has facilitated groups on mental health, abuse, anger, healthy relationship skills, family issues, and works on an individual and family basis.

I have a passion for helping people cope with societal pressures and expectations that often lead to stress, anxiety, depression and negative ways of coping. Working with women on food and body image issues is a special interest of mine. I also enjoy supporting women through pregnancy and postpartum.

I offer counseling and psychotherapy to individuals and families. I have worked with a wide range of issues and people in a variety of settings. My therapeutic approach may differ somewhat with each client depending on their personality and what is agreed upon in our initial setting. I lean toward the client centered approach which allows the client to pace the sessions with what they are most comfortable dealing with first. Depending on the needs of the client I often focus on interpersonal interactions, cognitive change and behavioral techniques. The approach is a collaborative decision discussed during the initial session.
