My passion as a therapist is to help people heal emotionally, spiritually, and physically from all walks of life. I am dedicated to walking with my clients on a healing journey that promotes healthy thinking and rediscovering how to improve their overall well being. My interests is in helping clients whom are teens, adults 18+, and the aging community that deal with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma-related experiences, healing from childhood trauma, parenting coaching and support, career coaching, and issues with self-esteem.

A therapeutic relationship based on safety and trust is essential in affecting change. I'm a Licensed Independent Social Worker with twenty five years of experience practicing psychotherapy with adolescents and adults. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, grief and loss, and help to address life challenges, transitions, feelings of isolation and fear about the future. Additionally, I work with parents to assist and guide in the ever-challenging work of raising a teenager.

My particular areas of experience and interest are: coping with the aftermath of traumatic and painful experiences, life transitions, women's issues, relationships, complicated grief, anxiety, stage fright and creative blocks, depression, medical diagnoses and pain issues, multiculturalism.

I will work collaboratively with you to identify and remove obstacles that currently hinder you from accessing your inner wisdom and ability to heal.Because no two people are exactly alike there is no one therapy method that can address the needs of every person. To honor your individuality I utilize an integrative approach with emphasis from client-centered, strength based, mindfulness based and somatic methods. I am a level 2 graduate of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. I am currently pursuing my certification in Sensorimotor Psychotherpy.

I have experience working with all types of anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and complex trauma. My secondary specialties include severe chronic mental illness, relationship problems, recovery from previous domestic violence, LTGBQ+ concerns, self-harm, and developmental or attachment wounds from childhood. I continue to take continuing education classes to improve my knowledge and skills in these areas. I especially enjoy working with clients motivated to improve their lives and willing to take responsibility for their success rather than expecting others to do their work.

I guide my patients towards healing and self-reliance by addressing the heart of their emotional wounds. My practice is grounded in client-centered therapy, offering a non-judgmental space where everyone—regardless of your identity or unique challenges—is met with personalized support and understanding. I provide individualized care for each of my clients, implementing what they value and how they learn into their healing. I am a trauma-informed therapist, primarily using cognitive, supportive, and attachment-based therapies to guide my practice.

We all go through difficult life experiences that can leave us feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or depressed with behavioral responses that are no longer serving us well. Finding meaning in difficult emotions and life events can be very helpful in moving forward. I feel passionate about providing a nonjudgemental space for clients to engage in self exploration while focusing on healing. Relationships are central to my work with patients, whether working individually, in couples therapy, or in a group.

I am Hillary Schultz, a clinician and owner of Progression Counseling Group. Individual services are available to those ages 5 and up. I'm not sure I have an ideal client. I believe in meeting a person where they are and moving forward from there. I feel people often come to therapy to help find the best version of themselves. I enjoy helping others find solutions to their problems, helping them identify their strengths, and deciding how to improve their weaknesses.

Master’s level, LISW - Supervisor, a graduate of Case Western Reserve University’s Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences in addition to a Masters and Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Cleveland State University. Mrs. Fremont’s experience has led to clinical specialties which include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Systems Approach which are known to be best practices in treating anxiety disorders, depression, stress management, adjustment disorders, personality disorders and relationship and marital problems. Mrs. Fremont is also a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist.

I am passionate about trauma, depression, anxiety, LGBQT concerns, personality disorders, and neurodivergence. An ideal client is an individual who has a growth mindset and explores their thoughts and feelings and how they impact their behavior. They may not understand how those thoughts derived from past experiences, but they are willing to open old wounds given the right tools. They feel safe and secure and want to heal through hard work and determination.
