Hello there, and welcome! I am glad you are here. My focus as a clinician revolves around aiding clients, particularly couples and families, in finding new ways of understanding and interacting with themselves and others. Our collaborative goals are often to shift relationships and experiences from tumultuous, discomforting, or distressing into ones that are safe, secure, and fulfilling. I have received extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which is a therapeutic modality grounded in grounded in the importance of having secure connections, or attachments, towards ourselves and others.
If we are experiencing insecure attachments, then, of course, we find this distressing. EFT provides a road map for moving from places wrought with conflict and difficult emotions into new destinations of healthy interactions, connection, and fulfillment. In addition, I have experience working with in substance use, grief and loss, and trauma counseling.
Addressing issues or concerns can be hard, but you don't have to do it alone. Counseling will help you navigate feeling alone, misunderstood, or stuck in life. I can assist you in improving communication, changing distressing patterns of behavior, healing your relationships, and re-establishing connection and trust with yourself and your significant others.
