I approach mental health and personality from a holistic perspective. I consider multiple variables when working with clients including mental health, medical history, nutrition, exercise and environment. I would describe my theoretical orientation as eclectic. Eclecticism incorporates therapies from a number of different sources ranging from cognitive-behavioral approaches to alternative treatments such as mindfulness training and meditation. The therapeutic techniques that I use vary from client to client because what works for one person may not work for another. Moreover, I often use more than one therapeutic method depending on my clients' needs.

Helping people gain confidence and self esteem through the development of a safe and collaborative relationship is the goal of my practice. I believe that strength comes from within and finding a way to connect to our own deeper strength and spirit brings success, joy and fulfillment. My approach is determined by listening and being present then careful consideration of each individuals strenghts and needs.

I am casual and tattooed, and that tends to work for most people... even if it's vastly different from how people picture a typical 'therapist'. I feel very privileged to work with members of the LGBTQ+ community and believe I offer a unique perspective as a trans man (that also happens to be a therapist). I really enjoy providing support to folks while they explore components of their authentic identities. I am comfortable working with folks that identify with being poly and/or kinky (No shaming here!).

Hello! I have over 25 years of experience & specialize in anxiety, trauma, chronic stress, self-regulation and recovery. I value in depth assessment which informs our process. Unlike some types of supportive counseling, I offer education about how life experiences are hardwired into our brains & how this impacts all aspects of life and our relationships. I also focus on teaching skills to transform anxiety and stress into resilience, calm, and increased joy. To do that, I use mindfulness, somatic/body-based skills, brainspotting, neurofeedback, psychedelic & ketamine - assisted psychotherapy, RRT, and nature-based connection.

Damaris works as an outpatient/school-based counselor providing services to both children and adults in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language (ASL). Damaris loves to listen to people and guide them to identify and build their strengths on what they truly love. Some of the issues she currently addresses include understanding and managing anxiety, defiant behaviors, bipolar disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), as well as navigating new mental health and physical health diagnosis, grief or divorce.

Our clinician-founded and operated recovery center offers a mindfulness-based, comprehensive, evidence based, and integrative approach to recovery. We give you the individual attention you deserve; you are truly seen and heard on an individual level. When it comes to addiction treatment we strongly believe in the value of quality over quantity. Therefore we have intentionally created our program to be a small, client focused program treating only 16 individuals at a time. We offer Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, and Outpatient levels of care.
