I also approach counseling with a goal to modify current thoughts and behaviors, as well as understand why those thoughts and behaviors exist. As a therapist with 14 years experience I know how to use therapeutic methods to help clients cope with their mental health. I have successfully treated clients asking for help coping with depression, anxiety, bipolar, trauma and individuals who have suffered a head injury enjoy life again. However, I believe it is my calm and quiet nature along with my ability to listen which creates the best environment for healing.

I am glad to provide care to clients with a variety of presenting issues. I particularly value providing affirmative care to members of diverse communities, including the LGBTQIA+ community and people of color. My hope as a therapist is to help clients connect with their love and respect for themselves, as well as find new strategies for coping.

I work with adults and families who are facing symptoms of anxiety, depression, behavioral issues or other barriers to emotional well-being. I will help you gain an understanding of what has led to your current situation, and then help you move toward solutions. With a working understanding of family systems, attachment science, personality disorders and trauma-informed practices, I especially enjoy working with people who are challenged in relationships with their parents, spouses or children. I am also passionate about helping adult clients become "cycle breakers" and gain relief from generational dysfunction.

My general approach with working with clients for over 20 years is highly individualized, relational and strengthen based. I believe most clients simply need an environment to communicate, process feelings and gain insight in order to create a more fulfilling and meaningful life. I offer individual therapy for adolescents, adults and family therapy. My passion has always been treating eating disorders and the underlying causes such as depression and anxiety. Another clinical passion and area of focus has been assisting women and mothers with identity development and navigating life transitions.

I enjoy helping people become self-aware, accepting, heal and improve their quality of life and relationships. I use a variety of approaches, including client centered, strengthbased, focused on goals set with client. I enjoy helping people grow, and become self and spiritually aware. I work with children, (6 -19), and adults dealing with PTSD, trauma, anxiety, attachments issues, relationships, addictions, and mortality. Hi there, I am here to help you. I work with individuals, couples, and families with struggles ranging from current life issues, relationship struggles, and issues that have been a lifelong battle. Clients often come to me because they have hit the lowest point and have never felt more alone, even after trying therapy countless times before. Many clients have left counseling finding resolution and a drive to live their life to the fullest. I love working with teenagers, college students and young adults ages 13-30. I most enjoy working with anxiety disorders (including OCD, phobias, and panic disorder), the effects of trauma, as well as LGBTQ clients. The majority of my training as a therapist has been in treating trauma, OCD and generalized anxiety. I am also a native Spanish speaker and love working with immigrant clients.
