I want to truly learn about the life experience and driving forces for each person I work with. I specialize in relationships and trauma- childhood neglect or abuse, a family member’s death, high stress jobs (health care, first responders), infidelity and conflict, or abrupt ends or changes in relationships. My goal is not to tell you how to live your life or what to do with your relationships, it's to support you as you find a life that's fulfilling and meaningful to you.

I have the honor of working with people experiencing a wide variety of concerns including: depression; anxiety; grief/loss; life transitions; chronic illness; postpartum depression; sexual abuse; relationship problems; low self-esteem; family of origin; stress and more. My relational approach is based on the belief that within the framework of a trusting relationship with a therapist, clients can explore patterns of behavior and emotions which may relate back to earlier relationships. Once a better understanding of the origins of these patterns is developed, people often find lasting freedom from their hold over their lives.

I work with teens (15+) and adults around trauma, attachment, gender and sexuality exploration, neurodiversity, and mood concerns. Difficult experiences can distort how we view of ourselves and the world, and lead to ineffective behaviors to manage the pain. I specialize in the treatment of OCD, hoarding disorder, and all other anxiety-related disorders: social anxiety, phobias, panic disorder, PTSD, generalized anxiety, tics, and body-focused repetitive behaviors (e.g., nail-biting). As part of my practice, the primary treatment for these conditions is exposure and response prevention therapy, or ERP. What maybe differentiates my practice from others whose principal therapeutic modality is ERP is that I am able to accept a wide variety of insurances. Additionally, I am one of very few clinicians in the state of Minnesota who specializes in the treatment of hoarding disorder.

My commitment in therapy is to help people live their fully authentic life - in whatever way that looks like to you. I have a particular passion for those who love outside the box - I specialize in working with polyamory and non-monogamy, kink, and queer and trans individuals. I like to get curious about the things that make you unique, and find ways to make those parts shine, while also holding space for the difficulty of living with marginalized identities. While I am not a trained trauma therapist, trauma, both single-instance and complex, informs all of my work.
