Tackling the misconceptions and stigmas that therapy is a privilege for a select few, my goal is to help put the power of self-awareness into the hands of all individuals through a mental health plan of action with a modern nuance that feels relevant to the realities of today.

I provide individual therapy to assist adults in gaining insight and increased coping abilities that are suffering from stress, anxiety, depression, self image and relationship issues as well as major life transitions( such career, relationship transitions , and first time parents). I enjoy processing / validating and skills based work, incorporating Solution Focused Therapy, DBT, CBT, and ACT and Motivational Interviewing.

I provide psychotherapy services to adults, couples, adolescents and families. I seek to create a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship to foster a process of self-awareness, insight, hope, healing and transformation. My expertise includes the use of mindfulness and eclectic psychotherapy to address mental illness, substance abuse, addictions, fluctuations in mood, feelings of dissatisfaction in relationships or at work. Psychotherapy is a reciprocal relationship, which facilitates personal awareness and growth. Your growth and change will lead to an increase sense of identity, personal power, creativity and purpose.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pace University in 2013 and my Master of Social Work from New York University in 2015. I am an New York LCSW and Massachusetts LICSW with over eight years of clinical experience in hospital, private practice, and telehealth outpatient settings.

As the global pandemic has shown us, sometimes life becomes overwhelming and uncontrollable. During these times it may be best to talk with someone outside of your community of family, friends or co-workers. A warm hearted professional to lend a moment of support and guidance. I share with clients in deciding how best to approach the issues, with the intent of addressing both the current distressing symptoms and long-standing patterns of behavior that are getting in the way of a thriving life. My practice is telehealth-based, and I accept direct pay (some prefer for privacy) as well as most PPO plans as an Out of Network provider.

My Ideal client: 36 yo male, divorced, with two children. The patient was incarcerated 16 years, due to drug addiction/trafficking. He spent his early childhood living with his mother and father, who sexually abused him. They were also addicted to drugs due to their childhood experiences of being abused. The patient's parents also prostituted him in exchange for drugs for others. The patient turned to drugs to escape the pain, embarrassment, and overall trauma from his childhood. He now wants sobriety and to overcome his trauma, which includes flashbacks and negative self-image, self-hatred, and hatred of his parents.

I enjoy blending traditional talk therapy, expressive arts, and movement therapy in my counseling sessions. Typically I begin therapy with traditional talk therapy and then at that point I am open to using any particular style depending on your preferred way of processing.
