Mindfulness Group
The Mindfulness/Meditation Group is an 10-week psychoeducational class designed to introduce participants to the theory and practice of Mindfulness. This interactive course will teach the concepts behind Mindfulness, offering various meditation techniques to become more present and actively aware with your emotions, thoughts and experiences. This Mindfulness/Meditation group can reduce anxiety and depression, lower blood pressure and improve overall well-being. Mindfulness is not a religious-based practice, but rather a secular, inclusive form of self care. The course is open to adults of all ages, with no previous meditation experience necessary.

Art Therapy Group
Art therapy is an established mental health profession that uses the creative process of art to improve and enhance the physical, mental and emotional well-being of people at all ages. It is based on the belief that the creative process involved in artistic self-expression helps people to resolve conflicts and problems, develop interpersonal skills, manage behavior, reduce stress, increase self-esteem and self-awareness and achieve insight. Art therapy integrates the fields of human development, visual arts and the creative process with models of counseling and psychotherapy. Art therapy is used to assess and treat various emotional conditions.

Anxety Group
This group will teach participants how to manage their own anxiety and experience distress while avoiding panic like symptoms. While anxiety is often uncomfortable, at times even unbearable, some anxiety is a regular part of daily life and can actually assist in motivation. Often individuals who experience anxiety seek to avoid the very things that cause their heightened anxiety or discomfort. These avoidance behaviors may further exasperate the anxiety by not allowing one to sit with his/her discomfort.
