Are you struggling in your relationships? Are you and your partner experiencing conflict that you can't seem to resolve? I can help you understand the underlying issues and needs that lead to withdrawal or anger, and work with you to re-establish strong bonds. Together we will identify the negative patterns that repeat, learn how to interrupt those and to instead create positive conflict resolution skills. I am passionate about the work I do as a therapist, and I respect each person's struggle and strengths.

Finding a therapist that meets your needs and makes you feel comfortable makes all the difference in the therapeutic process. It’s one of the most important factors that impact treatment and recovery. Therapy is a journey that should be shared with someone you’re comfortable with and trust. Working with me you will find a sympathetic and genuine therapist. I partner with my clients and gently challenge them in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. I encourage them to explore their thoughts, feelings, and fears in order to understand the obstacles they are experiencing and help them make the changes that are necessary to improve life

There is something keeping you from having the happy, fulfilling life you crave. Anxiety about your career is causing performance issues at work. Is it keeping you from enjoying life outside of work? Maybe stress is keeping you from sleeping. Your anxiety is relentless and exhausting. Perhaps a past sexual assault is making it difficult to have the healthy relationship you crave. It is making it hard to trust yourself and others. Or maybe you just can't get over that break-up. You're in a demanding career or caregiver role that has you burned out. You can't get away from low self-esteem and self-doubt.

I specialize in helping people recover from anxiety. I also work with women who suffer from depression, trauma, and complex relationship problems of all kinds. Too often, worries and fears get the best of us and control our decisions. Instead of living the life we want, we end up making choices in life and in relationships that are rooted in self-doubt, anxiety, and worry. I provide a safe, empathetic, nonjudgmental space in which we work together to reduce fears and develop new, authentic ways of engaging in relationships.

I utilize an active and tailored approach that meets clients wherever they are at in life to make the therapy experience as effective and meaningful as possible. I think outside-the-box and will often use interventions that make use of the resources and strengths that are available to clients. I believe that human beings are resilient and deserve support through challenging times, and it is when they receive the support they need that they can achieve greater happiness and confidence in themselves, the world, and the future. Sometimes, maybe more often than not, you're feeling hopeless; worried about your family or relationship. You're struggling to get through the day feeling like you are drowning while everyone else is breathing. You're feeling disconnected from your family & they seem to be arguing & fighting more. Your partner feels distant & you aren't connecting with them like you used to; romance has mostly diminished. Everyone is so busy and you're feeling lost and alone. There are times when you feel on edge but aren't sure why, like a weight is sitting on your chest. The thoughts "I just want to feel better" have taken up space in your head.

Out of Network Therapists
An out-of-network Therapist in Chicago has not agreed to any set rate with your insurer. Your plan may require higher co-pays, deductibles and co-insurance for out-of-network care and you may need to pay the difference between your insurer's allowed amount and what the Therapist charges.

The costs for a Chicago out-of-network Therapist also depend on your type of plan:

In a Health Maintenance Organization, or HMO, or Exclusive Provider Network, or EPO, you generally have to pay the full cost of any out-of-network care.

In a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) or Point-of-Service (POS) plan, you will usually have to pay a higher deductible and or a higher co-pay plus a higher percentage co-insurance plus, the difference between the allowed amount and your provider's actual rate.

How can I tell if a therapist is right for me?
Therapists in Chicago are able to work with a wide range of issues. They offer in person sessions as well as Teletherapy in Chicago

For example, if you're seeking a marriage counselor in Chicago you'll find that most therapists are trained in marriage counseling or couples counseling in Chicago and couples therapy. And they welcome families for family counseling in Chicago or family therapy in Chicago.
