In our work, I can offer you warmth and empathy as we gently explore the ‘why’ behind what you do while uncovering your strength and resilience. My work with clients focuses on grief and loss, trauma, relational discord, anxiety, depression, body image, life-transitions, adoption-related issues, parenthood and the intersection of faith and spirituality with day to day living.

I am a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in working with children and adolescents. I also work with adults. While post-graduate training, and teaching, have increased my skills, what makes me a good therapist are the beliefs I hold dear. I believe in people and their ability to heal and thrive. I believe that the connection I have with my clients not only allows them to open up to me, but others as well. Most importantly, I believe that working with others is a tremendous responsibility and a sacred trust. It is an honor I never take lightly.

I believe that you are the expert of your life! My job is to be curious and to help you gain more understanding of yourself. A good therapist doesn't claim to have all the answers for why you are the way you are although I may have some ideas that I will share. When it comes to getting answers & more understanding, we will form hypotheses together and you will come to your own conclusions. I facilitate and guide that process! I'm here to share my knowledge to help you make decisions that are authentic, rational, and well-explored.

As a former Division I Athlete and US National Team Member, I believe that one of the bravest things we can do is learning how to love ourselves through the process of owning our own storying. Often times the first brave step is just reaching out. Society tends to view therapy as something you need if you have “failed” on your own. However, I tend to think the counseling process is one where we invite someone else to walk alongside us on our journey of figuring out who we are. I believe that as humans we are designed for relationship, and we aren’t intended to do and figure it all out alone.
