The driving force behind my counseling practice is HOPE. We work with adult individuals and couples to help find hope, healing, insight, and individualized solutions when peace and joy are lost, trust is broken, or when life just gets especially hard. My life experiences have provided me with the ability to develop rapport with people from all walks of life. My ideal clients are male teenagers, or male adults trying to make meaning and find their purpose in life. This process requires you to address your needs of self esteem, identity and intimacy. In our time together we will explore these needs and you will feel empowered to improve your mental, physical, social and spiritual well being.

Life can be challenging and even overwhelming, whether it is due to grief and loss, relationship problems, a challenging child, anxiety or depression. We all need a little help once in a while. My ideal client is someone that is open to learning "another way" of doing things. Dr. Brooks-Gordon received her “Sexual Assault Counselor” certificate in 2012 and volunteered with the Riverside Area Rape Crisis Center for a little over a year. Dr. Brooks-Gordon briefly worked with children on the Autism Spectrum providing in-home ABA services. Dr. Brooks-Gordon developed her knowledge of children by working with children in the foster care system. Dr. Brooks-Gordon is EMDR trained and working towards certification.

There are a lot of struggles that we go through in our daily lives. Whether there is a struggle within a relationship with a significant other, co-worker, family member, friend, or even ourselves. I assist couples, individual adults, teens, and children to gain or regain a sense of normalcy through compassion and care within the therapeutic relationship. I am also here to help with challenges with depression, anxiety, adjustments to new situations, grief, loss, anger, stress, men’s issues, spirituality, self-esteem, infidelity, behavioral and emotional concerns with children and teens.
