I am an experienced therapist, working in the SF Bay Area with hundreds of clients on a wide range of issues. I also work with people in transition and who are wanting to understand themselves in a deeper way. I treat my clients as individuals and together we develop goals for our work together. I value the unique relationship I have with each of my clients. My clients tell me they have felt better by working with me and that they have found me easy to talk to about important topics.

It is my calling to help encourage people to value their personal stories. This is done by recognizing their strengths and using them for healing, recovery, finding balance, and discovering their worth. Prior to becoming a therapist, I managed a program serving severely mentally ill, homeless adults. I was privileged to support this routinely under-served population here in San Diego, giving me a renewed perspective on the value and worth of every human life.

I have been providing psychotherapy since 2008 and I am very passionate about helping people get well. I strongly believe that all people have the ability, and deserve to, be well and happy. I also know through my work in this field, and through personal experience, that all of us as human beings will find ourselves stuck at various points in our lives and that's when we need some support and encouragement. My approach to treatment is to assist patients to find their own strengths, skills, and accomplishments and use those strengths and skills to get themselves through their current challenges.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a wealth of clinical experience working with families and adults. I work from a Cognitive Behavioral treatment lens, with a focus on practical and applicable steps to improve my clients’ mental health. I am a married mother of two young boys, one of whom has autism, and can relate firsthand to the unique challenges of marriage and raising a family in today’s society!

I became a therapist because I enjoy connecting with people and honoring their story. My goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental space to provide support as we explore better ways of coping, strategies to manage stress, and improve communication. Through reflection we are able to set goals and problem solve together as we increase insight and awareness of your experience. Together we can work to find an improved life balance, satisfaction and greater sense of well-being.

I strive to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their resilience and inner strengths through my counseling services. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan. I provide a nurturing space while also providing “carefrontation,” a compassionate way to challenge negative beliefs that hinder your growth.

As a therapist, I believe in healing as a community and maintain an anti-oppressive and social justice framework in my work. I have experience working with Black, Indigenous, Women of Color (BIPOC), and other historically marginalized communities to address depression, anxiety, and trauma-related concerns. We all deserve to be heard, and valued and live a fulfilling life. Yet, somewhere in history, in society, in our families, and within ourselves a different narrative may have been created — a narrative that’s prevented us from recognizing our worth.

I believe every individual is beautiful on their own and has a unique story of how they got to be where they are in this moment. I am non-judgmental, open-minded, will meet someone where they are at and help them achieve their goals. I am here to listen to you and your story. I believe that sometimes talking about things helps in itself. Your happiness and health matters.
