"I believe in forming a strong and trusting relationship with my clients. I am known for my warmth, patience, curiosity, creativity and energy. I work successfully with individuals who feel stuck; that something is blocking them from getting to where they want to be. They may have lost their motivation, self-confidence, feel sad or fearful, have difficulties in relationships, or are haunted by things that have happened to them. I am attentive to how each individual takes in information and engage that learning style in sessions. My ultimate goal is to help others be more aware of who they are."

I use the Gottman method to help couples work through communication barriers while learning to manage conflict. Couples typically come in feeling disconnected and are looking for some way to resolve this. From the first session we begin working on this connection through questions and and the retelling of their stories in the relationship. "Each one of us is capable of living a life of authenticity, connection, meaning, and joy. Yet so much can get in the way. Early on, we're taught to believe that something is wrong with us - we're the wrong size, the wrong gender/sexuality/race, have the wrong talents/goals. We're taught to strive for a limited vision of success. On top of these cultural pressures, many of us experience trauma such as emotional/physical abuse. Is it any wonder that so many people suffer from unhappiness, depression, anxiety, self-criticism, and disempowerment?"

"Are you ready to find a new way forward, but don't know how to choose a therapist? That makes sense. Since therapists are restricted from posting client reviews, you're left with reading fancy descriptions and looking at photos. So, here's the secret that all therapists themselves understand: Expertise and experience make the difference. Practically, you should look for therapists with 10+ years of experience and have travelled nationally to get the best post-degree training. Rather than having unseasoned or under-trained therapists learn from you, choose a therapist with the experience and training you deserve."

"My ideal client is frustrated, angry, in despair. Life hasn’t worked out the way it was supposed to. (S)he lost herself somewhere long ago, left herself behind. Relationships are hard; those recurring patterns and reactive behavior keep interfering with connection, and self-esteem, and contentment, and vitality, and... A malaise has settled, along with a darkness. This inevitably leads to anxiety, depression, isolation, addiction, and despair. My clients know there must be more. But, where to begin? How to start?"

You endure the sleepless nights, getting more and more tired and closer to the end of your rope. You don’t feel like you’re going to be able to find peace. You want to talk to your spouse, but you worry that they aren't able to help you. You want to live a life that is free of the grip of anxiety.
