I'm passionate about empowering individuals who have felt unseen, misunderstood, marginalized, and voiceless, and I love working with and empowering women in all stages of life. As a woman who has felt disempowered from past trauma and shame, I'm passionate about working with women to achieve greater self-worth and confidence and embrace their authentic self. I find joy in helping people heal from past trauma, transform limiting beliefs of shame into the truth of who they are, find meaning and purpose, and courageously tell their story.

Just as the body has the ability to heal physically, the mind can also heal from psychological trauma. I believe that every single person has a powerful story, and I take pride in providing a safe, calm environment where you are empowered to share, and heal from your story. Your trauma or abuse story may stem from chilchood abuse, neglect or attachment wounding, or perhpas your've been wounded spiritually or relationally as an adult. Therapy starts with a simple conversation and me seeking to learn your unique perspective, needs, and goals. You may or may not know exactly what your are looking for. You might feel anything from complete comfort to terror in taking this step. I am great at helping people feel comfortable & asking the right questions to develop shared understanding. As a parent, if our child is showing behavioral or emotional signs that he or she is struggling, we struggle too. I am here to help both you and your child. Play therapy is a powerful way to help your child grow and heal. Sometimes, you as a parent need the support to journey with your child through a healing process. My approach allows a child to experience significant shifts in their behaviors and in their feelings about themselves and the world around them. Going through this process together, parent, therapist and child work together and in doing so, you and I together grow in our understanding of your child.

I have over 20 years of clinical experience. I am a former military psychologist and military wife. I have experience with deployment issues, military sexual trauma, re-integration issues, special duty clearances, and other related stressors and trauma. I understand the sensitivity of special clearances. I have a significant amount of experience in psychological testing and neuropsychological screening, to help with accurate diagnosing and for treatment planning. I approach problems using a biopsychosocial model to address possible causes and the maintenance of those problems.

Life is hard, but there is always a way out of the darkness. I believe in meeting my clients where they are in life.
