"I can help by providing tools to escape feeling anxious, depressed, fearful, overworked, underappreciated, or overwhelmed. It has been reported that the single most important factor in determining the success of therapy is not the therapeutic model the practitioner uses, rather it is the therapeutic relationship. "If you are exploring the option of therapy, you may have already made attempts to improve your situation on your own. You may feel depressed, anxious or fearful about the future. Though you desire to make a change, you may be skeptical about the idea of counseling. You may also feel that finding a therapist who listens without judgment and who balances honest feedback with empathy, is a confusing and difficult task. If this describes your situation, I hope that I might have the opportunity to speak with you about a practical strategy to bring about the change you desire."

Whether you are in the chronic stages of chemical dependency, or you're starting to wonder if it's time to cut back or stop, you can likely identify one or more negative consequences impacting your life due to the continued use of substances. Damaged relationships? Anxiety and Depression? Poor physical health? Occupational or Legal consequences? If any of these sound familiar, it's time to reach out for support. Our close relationships within our lives can give us strength but can also create conflict, anxiety, and/or depression. The result may be physical discomfort, low self-esteem, even PTSD, as well as thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that can get in the way of making positive decisions. Working as a team, my clients and I identify behavioral patterns, set goals, and begin a plan to achieve resolution and healing."

"Being an adoptive parent can be both a wonderful and challenging experience. When parenting becomes more challenging than rewarding, it can leave parents feeling lonely, isolated, and hopeless. Oftentimes, friends and family do not know the extent of the difficulties your child is experiencing at home: moodiness, anxiety, aggression, meltdowns over small things, screaming, running away, and telling you they hate you. It can be hard to talk about these realities with other parents who might not understand. If this describes your home life, please know you are not alone and there is hope."
