"I provide psychoanalytic psychotherapy for adults, adolescents/children and their families. This approach allows you to express internal thoughts and feelings and worries you have, and it can begin to help you understand them in a deeper way. Many people suffer from negative thinking and get stuck in that state of mind, feeling that is the reality. It is only a partial state of mind, it holds us back from being more productive and enjoying life. Since I am in my 4th year as a training analyst where I see people 4 times a week for intensive life changing work."

"We all face difficult times in life but when it becomes harder to face life's challenges, depression or anxiety may be a factor. I view therapy as not only an opportunity to learn techniques to manage and cope with symptoms of depression and anxiety, but also as a journey of self exploration, awareness/understanding, and growth. While we can't change the past, we CAN heal contributing factors to depression/anxiety, such as family/relationship problems, substance abuse, codependency, and grief. My style is empathic and supportive, providing a non-judgmental atmosphere for personal growth and change."

" No matter how hard you try to move forward, you feel like your taking one step back. You’re a high performer and always put on a smile, which helps you forget your pain. You feel you will never be fully happy and never be able to fully enjoy life how others do, because of your many losses. You may keep friends and family at a distance, to protect yourself from yet another inevitable loss. You may have stopped exercising and taking care of yourself the way you used to since it takes too much work and you're just surviving at the end of another long day. "

"We are all on a journey towards improved health and wholeness, but the road to healing can often be difficult to navigate. Life challenges can result in feelings of anger, depression, anxiety, and loss of control. Often times we might experience physical symptoms as a result of ongoing stress as well. These same struggles, however, can be opportunities for growth. Our counseling professionals will walk with you on your journey of self-discovery, and together we will uncover your unique strengths, develop coping skills, increase self-confidence, and work toward restoring balance in your life."

"The primary factor that determines if therapy is helpful is the "fit" between therapist and patient, i.e., degree of comfort, ease of communication, agreement on what problems are to be addressed and sense of safety. My approach to treatment is guided by my initial assessment of individuals or couples, wherein I learn why help is being sought and way the specific problems are experienced. This helps me form a picture of what has lead to the problems that bring people to seek help. We then determine together if how I'm thinking is helpful."

"Are you looking for help with your feelings or your behavior? It appears to me that most people's mental health issues arise from a search for validation and connection. Adults, adolescents, and children seem to suffer from isolation, depression, anxiety, and anger, as well as negative behavior patterns because they feel cut off from others at home, at work, in school, and in their communities. I focus on improving skills and understandings to overcome divisiveness and build stronger relationships with romantic partners, adult siblings, divorcing and post-divorce families, and stepfamilies as well as other complex families.
