We ask questions about your health history, what you eat, how you move, your coping strategies, your family systems, and your medications in order to best determine the correct path. We rule out any physical issues first and refer you to a physician if necessary. We then look at how your lifestyle choices are influencing how you feel. We examine your thought patterns to engrain positivity. Developing a plan for how you comfort and console yourself within your belief system can also be part of the process. All of our Lehigh Valley counselors do psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) along with other forms of therapy.

Ever feel run down from taking care of others? Tired to the point of exhaustion but afraid or unable to stop? It's an easy place to find ourselves. What isn't easy is getting out of it. You may be feeling like this right now. Or have a history of caregiving others at the ongoing expense of your own needs. Perhaps you're nearing burnout, or already there. Wherever on this spectrum you are, I can relate.

It is always and honor be part of a process of transformative growth and healing for those that I work with. I have spent the last 20 plus years researching, training, learning about, using and gaining understanding of the most effective models of treatment for those who are struggling with early, unresolved attachment (relational trauma) and various types of trauma. I especially enjoy working with parents to support them in becoming the parent they really want to be, working together to take the struggle out of parenting and replace it with the joy that parents deserve and always wanted.

For over 35 years, I have helped people of all ages to ease their burdens, face doubt and overcome emotional afflictions with warmth, empathy, and safety. I believe compassion is the cornerstone of a trusting relationship. More recently I have been guiding people to happier, more meaningful lives and relationships by focusing on their often unrealized strengths to facilitate change, have them live more consciously, and become who they want to be.

I provide Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and humanistic behavioral therapy to individuals diagnosed with Autism, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and Schizophrenia. Although a behaviorist by training, I believe that the relationship between client and therapist and offering unconditional regard to my clients are extremely important. I bring a unique perspective to my practice being the father of an individual diagnosed with ASD and being recovered from mental illness. Everyone’s journey with mental illness is different, but my life experience allows me insight to my clients stories and experiences with mental illness.
