I keep an open mind, I am flexible and I am a good listener. I like to take all theories into account and apply them to one particular person. I do not believe in formulas, each individual is unique and deserves a unique understanding.
I also like to have a plan of action that I discuss with my client in the beginning of treatment. Clients have told me that they have gained better understanding of their dynamics and developed stronger sense of self after treatment.
My clinical interests include intimacy difficulties in couples, parenthood, blended families and family therapy. I am an advanced emotionally focused therapist ( EFT) for couples. I have worked at Columbia University Head Start and have had family training at the Ackerman Family Institute and the Minuchin Center for the Family .I also trained in Gestalt.
An added feature is that being an immigrant myself from Argentina , I have an additional understanding of the process and its effect on people's lives and families. I am also experienced in parenting issues, having run parenting groups in the past. I am seing clients in my office or at zoom .
