Hello! I'm Dr. Oscar Melendez, a Spanish-speaking and bilingual clinician, and I'm excited to announce that I am currently accepting new patients, starting from the age of 3 and up. I am an affirming and holistically oriented psychotherapist, specializing in assertiveness communications, emotional regulation and vulnerable populations, depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, individual counseling, couples counseling, and family counseling.
I am a bilingual post-doctoral fellow in Clinical Psychology. I am a doctor in clinical psychology from the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences (PHSU) Ponce, Puerto Rico. I also have a specialty track in sex and gender diversity populations.
My specialty is working with prejudiced and disadvantaged populations. With my psychoanalytic ethics, affirming style, and humanistic model, I expect to assist those who have been discriminated or have any mental health difficulties in achieving well-being in their lives. I have experience working holistically with children, families, couples, and adults.
