I work with adults of all backgrounds and identities, with an emphasis on mindfulness and the healing power of the therapeutic relationship. I welcome people struggling with anxiety, depression, excessive worry, relationship issues, in spiritual crisis, or simply weighed down by the general heaviness of existence. I view therapy as an explorative process into the self, a journey that client and therapist traverse together. I place emphasis on the therapeutic relationship, using it as a lens by which to learn about how we exist in relationship with, and to others.
Having a companion to be with pain is a tremendous support in healing. Learning how to touch in with our pain increases our capacity to give ourselves the space we need.Dropping the story and tending to our feelings increases the capacity to be with pain, and the spaciousness of our mind to accommodate whatever arises.
The heart and mind are vast. Being with pain in small increments expands our capacity to give space for what’s needed in ourselves, and in our environment. Little by little we can shift our relationship with self and others, offering more space to tend to what we truly need.
