Hello, I'm Orlando Castro, a professional mental health counselor. A diverse educational and lived experience shapes my eclectic approach to psychotherapy. As a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and achieve greater emotional well-being. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work and a Master's in Law and Social Policy.
I am committed and dedicated to my professional helper role and honored to be intimately invited into my clients' lives. I join with my clients and provide psycho-education so that they understand and appreciate the power of therapeutic discharge- putting all thoughts, feelings, and ideas -in the therapeutic moment- into words.
During our first session, clients will be afforded a comfortable forum to be themselves and share what they would like. In an effort to tailor an approach for our work together, I will ask some questions to help better understand where we are and where we want to go.
