I am a Certified Social Work Associate, a social worker, and therapist for adults. I am deeply passionate about working with trauma. I work with any kind of trauma at any level of severity, collaborating with you to address PTSD, Dissociative Identity Disorder, and other effects of trauma such as impact on the body, nightmares, hypervigilance, depression, and anxiety. As a social worker, it is important for me to look not just at the mind, but also relationships, community, and larger societal systems. to explore how systems of capitalism, white supremacy, ableism, transphobia and oppression impact our mental health.
I work in modalities including Gestalt Therapy, Existential- Humanistic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solutions Focused Therapy. I enjoy working in humanistic therapy in particular because of how powerful it can be to practice self determination, especially when trauma has made this feel impossible in other areas.
My goal is to approach our work together with humility and curiosity, and hold a space that is safe and welcoming. The trust we build is what leads us toward making progress in all areas of need in therapy.
