My job is to help you let go of what isn't working for you anymore. I focus on your current issues but also on those longstanding patterns that surface again and again throughout the life span and cause unhappiness. My approach is interpersonal and client-centered, but I also incorporate concrete strategies for symptom alleviation.
I've worked in a variety of mental health settings, including a high school, a college counseling center, and as the trauma specialist in a hospital substance abuse treatment program. I have successfully treated people struggling with everything from simple problems in living to depression, anxiety, addiction, and PTSD.
I know that change is possible. It begins when we find out what matters to you and what is standing between you and a full experience of the life you want.
