Hello! I am happy you made it to this corner of the therapy world and looking forward to working together! I am southern raised and more on the extroverted side by nature. With this comes with me being soft in my approach and also direct in challenging you throughout your healing journey. I enjoy some laughter sprinkled in sessions as I believe healing doesn't always have to be 100% heavy only. I take a collaborative approach in therapy and want sessions to meet you where you're at each session.

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable. You may know something in your life isn’t working the way you want it to, but putting it into words—or figuring out where to start—can feel overwhelming.
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and capable, but feel stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand—whether that shows up as anxiety, relationship struggles, emotional overwhelm, or feeling disconnected from themselves or others. Therapy offers a space to slow down, explore those patterns, and develop tools that help you move forward with more clarity and self-compassion.

I believe therapy should honor your full humanity—not just alleviate your pain but also support you in reconnecting with your power, voice, and inner clarity. My work is grounded in cultural humility, person-centered therapy, attachment theory, and emotion-focused practices, with a deep awareness of how race, class, gender, and other identities impact healing. As a 38-year-old African American heterosexual woman (she/her), raised in a middle-class Black Christian household in Southern California, I bring my lived experience, identities, and education into the room with openness and care.

Bring your whole self to therapy. Creating a life that works for you is about integrating every aspect of who you are- the parts of you that you hide from others, your humor, spiritual self, sexuality, and even the "bad parts". Having a satisfying relationship with yourself first, is the cornerstone of successful relationships and can support a way of living that thrives. If you’re aware that you struggle with the same cyclical personal, relationship, or social issues, it means you’ve awakened to the fact that what you’re doing isn't currently working for you.
