In my practice, I offer a space for clients to feel heard, understood, and respected. My aim is to work collaboratively with clients to cultivate and practice emotional regulation and effective coping skills. As a team, we identify goals and needs to direct our time together as well as promote deeper self-understanding and awareness. I have a particular passion for working with anxiety disorders, adults with ADHD, and individuals who are curious to learn more about themselves. I work with both individual adults and adolescents.

Something bad happened. An event or series of events has become a point in time where your life changed, and not for the better. You feel stuck in your trauma without any way out. Your nervous system has hijacked your happiness. Too often you feel anxious, angry or afraid. You may interact with the world, but sometimes it feels like you are just going through the motions. Or you might not be interacting with the world at all. You're completely shut down. You long to feel what other people must certainly feel: happiness, love, joy, and contentment. You survived and that's great! but you want more than that. You want to truly live!

I believe people are not broken — they are responding in understandable ways to painful experiences, and with the right support, they can build lives that feel meaningful and self-directed. I work best with thoughtful, self-reflective teens or adults navigating anxiety, depression, identity development, life transitions, or tension between where they are and where they want to be. I especially enjoy working with individuals who want to understand themselves more deeply and are ready to move from just surviving to living more fully. I help people open up to the full spectrum of human emotions, and learn that they can be ok in it.

I work with children, teens, adults, couples and families experiencing depression/anxiety, grief, neurodivergent challenges, and lifespan transitions. In life, we all encounter broken places — moments of disruption, pain, or transition that can leave us feeling unsteady or overwhelmed. Each challenge requires its own path toward healing. I believe that while we may navigate some of these experiences on our own, we often find deeper growth and clarity when we reach beyond ourselves for support.

You've listened to the podcasts and read the books about how to show up “bolder” in your life, have more confidence, and create the life you really want. You want to understand and resolve the anxiety you feel when you think about saying no to friends or expressing your true opinions at work. You’re so tired of agreeing to things only to later regret it and then feel guilty if you don’t follow through. Maybe you’re staying in relationships that feel more like an obligation than a true pleasure, resulting in dread or avoidance. Life is really busy with lots of friends, but you’re left feeling empty and unfulfilled.

Therapy is a time that's about YOU! It's a non-judgmental space where you can explore issues that you may have identified or you're not quite sure why you feel stuck. You might be dealing with anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, ancestral trauma, or other things you just can't seem to resolve. You might have difficulty with personal boundaries or be experiencing repeated relationship conflicts. If you could have a regular place to address the things that burden you, imagine how different life could be?

For many of us, the hardest challenge to overcome is to ask for help. If you're reading this, you've already found the courage to start becoming the best version of yourself. While as an individual you are unique, none of us are perfect and we all experience conflict, hardships, and a variety of emotions. I believe our life experiences as well as cultural background influence the way in which we interact with the world. I am a strong proponent of collaboration and I view the therapeutic relationship as a team. I have daytime availability Monday through Thursday.

Life is complex, often confusing and conflicted. Distress can come with the territory. When we're distressed, and we've tried everything we know, we need outside counsel. A counselor provides an "auxiliary mind," so to speak. An alter ego. Someone to bring to bear, on your behalf, a range of knowledge that you simply haven't had occasion to acquire. Someone to provide emotional balance and an objective eye on your circumstances. Someone to help you sort out your experience.

I aim to provide clients with a safe and neutral space to share their story and feel wholly accepted without judgment. I believe that inviting the vulnerable parts of ourselves to be seen, heard, and cared for can lay the groundwork for effective therapy. By exploring past and present experiences, thoughts, and feelings, we can identify and alleviate barriers that are preventing you from living a healthy and full life.
