Thanks for your time. I provide support for clients while holding the belief that we experience life in the context of mental, physical, emotional, spiritual and social dimensions that are inseparable; those aspects that makes someone a whole person; the people we are, the product of our personal and social interactions and contributions to them; that which makes you, and that which makes me—we; that we are equal, interconnected and are more alike than different. I think about healthcare from an integrative approach; that historical, contemporary and complimentary/alternative forms of medicine are not mutually exclusive.

Accepting New Clients. Life challenges our human capacity to balance all the interconnected and diverse parts of our self. Unhelpful life patterns, mood disorders, traumatic experiences and relational conflicts can hinder our ability to live our lives, separating us from our greatest strength, ourselves. My goal as a therapist is to encourage self-awareness, compassion for yourself, building upon your strengths and most importantly supporting your personal growth. Individuals who are challenged by their capacity to connect to themselves and others would find benefit in processing these pieces into a more interconnected self.

My therapy practice has focused on interventions for complex family systems including co-parenting after divorce, raising special needs children or supporting patients with navigating agency involvement (child welfare, corrections, education). I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Doctor of Behavioral Health (DBH) whose career was founded in Pediatrics. I have a strong commitment to helping families develop secure relationships and additionally offer attachment couples counseling using PACT, EFT and IFS models.

My name is Aura and I have been working and supporting families in the Rogue Valley since 2013. I specialize in working with teens and young adults however, I am able to treat most clients of any age. Through out my life I have been a Public Safety officer, a CNA, and an LPN in the valley and elsewhere so I bring a broad range of experiences to my practice that enable me to support clients and meet them where they are at. Currently I also perform crisis work and have supported people through some of the toughest periods in their lives.

My approach to therapy began with a passion for working with individuals affected by past trauma. Throughout my professional development, I have integrated a humanistic/existential approach to treatment, incorporated spirituality as appropriate, and discovered the effectiveness of applying a theoretical orientation based on client presentation rather than therapist preference. In my career I have been fortunate enough to train in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) which added a much-needed behavioral component to my approach, and I have found this treatment modality (as well as CBT) to be helpful for clients across the board.

I currently am only offering Telehealth. I am passionate about helping individuals thrive in life and overcome barriers that have been keeping them stuck preventing vitality and abundance. Every person is unique, which means I work personally with you to understand who you are, what goals you have and what you are looking for in therapy to help your life get back on track. My hope is to offer a safe space for you to accomplish this by gaining a deeper understanding and awareness of yourself. These understandings come from evidenced based depth models including psychodynamic, attachment based, and behavioral therapies.

I believe each person is innately capable of employing their own strengths and making their own choices toward growth and fulfillment. This often requires a great level of introspection and rediscovering strengths we do not know we have, practicing new skills, and releasing ourselves from lifelong negative beliefs we have held about ourselves and others. I want therapy to empower you. If you struggle with self-confidence or self-worth, my goal is to help you realize you are capable of achieving your own goals. I particularly enjoy working with clients with a history of trauma, anxiety, disordered eating, depression, or shame.

I work primarily with clients in person and can offer telehealth if requested.

I enjoy working with individuals, couples and families, getting curious about the beliefs we have developed around our painful experiences, and facilitating the process of allowing an inner wisdom to emerge that can provide the leadership and care that we often yearn for. This process builds resilience, acceptance, creativity and compassion both on an interpersonal level, and within the self.

Richard Stubbs is one of three board certified music therapists licensed in Southern Oregon. He specializes in experiential therapies such as songwriting and lyric analysis, attachment focused music therapy, and an innovative integration of tabletop role-playing games into group therapy. Group therapy is focused on building interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and problem solving skills.

I fully believe that clients do well if they can! This being said, sometimes life becomes too difficult to manage and maneuver on our own and we need a little support and guidance. The therapeutic process is based on a clients strength, their drive, what coping skills they have, and what they know already works for them. The therapeutic process takes time, it is hard, but given enough support and strength, the process is worth it. My focus is on helping clients, families, and couples create an environment that is positive and healthy all around.
