In over thirty-five years of practice I have worked with a variety of clients and a wide range of issues; my current focus is individual psychotherapy with adults and teens, as well as marital and family work. Methods used include solution focused, narrative and cognitive techniques, and I have training and experience working with mindfulness and emotion focused therapy and some background in psychodynamic formulations.

I treat trauma from any source, depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief/bereavement, dissociation issues, and personality disorders. I specialize in adults who have experienced any type of childhood abuse or domestic violence, Veterans issues, including combat PTSD. I do individual counseling. I work with adolescents and adults starting at age 14 years and up.

Seeking a therapist can feel like an overwhelming process as a Veteran, Police or Corrections Officer. By offering a free 15 minute phone consult, I hope to ease that search and make it a little more comfortable by answering concerns you may have. Because of years of involvement in Military and Law Enforcement culture as a family member, spouse, Blue Star Mom and Police Officer Reservist, I understand our culture and provide a unique ability to connect when it comes to counseling one of our own as it relates to critical incidents, PTSD, crisis, suicide and trauma by offering hope alongside those who serve.

Therapy is a vulnerable process and finding the right therapist can be a daunting decision. I appreciate the strength it takes to begin the search for a therapist and I welcome the opportunity to walk alongside you in your healing process.

Together we can co-create a safe space of curiosity and self-compassion. Here, we find opportunities to identify and understand the origins of and what triggers the patterns, beliefs, thoughts, and behaviors that don’t serve you. I am inspired by our inherent connectedness and its profound power to make individual, familial, communal, societal, and earthly changes towards a world with a lot more love and belonging. I am honored to hold this collaborative space for adults of all ethnicities/races, genders, sexual orientations, shapes and sizes, abilities, nationalities, and occupations.
