With that in mind I try to help people by taking a look at their relationships with themselves, with others, and with
spirituality
, whatever that looks like for each person or couple.
My practice is full and I am on a waitlist. Let's work together to help you thrive. Maybe your relationships are a mess, you feel depressed or anxious, or you feel like you don't have much of a reason to carry on. I would love to help. I engage with people to uncover and create meaning in their lives, to improve their partnerships and friendships, and to improve their sense of connection. I would honor the privilege of offering understanding and support and to explore how healing trauma, creating community, deepening your mindfulness, and finding peace can revolutionize your wellbeing. I work with individuals and couples.

Love. Joy. Ecstasy. Awe. In my 16 years of clinical experience, I’ve discovered that we each have far more capacity for these expansive feelings than we often realize. Whether you are struggling to get through the daily grind, or feel ready to fly through the stars, I can work with you collaboratively to shape a life that fulfills your highest dreams, and maybe even soars beyond them! I’m eager to share what I’ve learned about our abilities to break out of old patterns of shame, hurt, and fear into fruitful creativity and communion with the most inspiring aspects of being alive.

It is my honor to help people live life to their fullest potential. Whatever obstacles may be in your way to living a fulfilling life of love, health, happiness, abundance and compassion, I can help you find the strength and insight within yourself to overcome. I believe that we all have purpose and power in this life to be shared with ourselves and others. Sometimes we become lost on our way, or perhaps misguided and unhappy, and with a little help, we can create a purposeful, loving life. I offer a holistic approach and specialize in the mind-body connection.

Sarah Finch Page

As a Spiritual Director, my role is to respond to those who have a desire to discover the presence of God in all life's moments. If you are looking for a safe and open space for that journey, I am happy to journey with you. Life experiences have a way of influencing how we see ourselves and others. It is in paying attention to our inner lives that the soul begins to thrive. I companion those from various faith backgrounds as well as those who are feeling the 'tug' to know more about the soul.

Sometimes a sense of depression can be an alert to a spiritual emptiness or exhaustion that does not benefit from being pathologized or vilified as something "wrong" with you. It can signal an opportunity to release yourself from distractions and limitations that do not serve your deeply held values. If you want to explore your broken heart or disconnection in a holistic way, I invite you to begin the conversation to discover its deeper purpose. I tend to work from a psychodynamic approach, taking time to explore an individual's life experiences and assessing how those experiences have shaped current beliefs.

Spirituality Therapists
What should I expect from therapy that incorporates a focus on spirituality?
Spirituality can mean different things to different individuals, depending on their experiences, beliefs, and life histories. Some individuals focus on strengthening their belief system, while others experience spirituality in secular ways, such as through meditation, yoga, or by spending time in nature. Clients can expect a therapist to help guide and grow their spirituality through any of these techniques, encouraging the individual to cope with the challenges they face and develop strategies to build resilience and purpose to improve their outlook in life.
What are the most common treatments that include spirituality?
There are several treatments that incorporate spirituality. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) helps a person examine and reframe their negative thoughts and behaviors. Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) focuses on emotional acceptance and psychological flexibility. Existential therapy is most often used to address anxiety, depression, grief, loneliness, apathy, despair, questions of identity, and feelings of purposelessness and existential dread. Transpersonal therapy focuses on a client’s spirituality and meaning in life and may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork.
Can therapy incorporating spirituality help atheistic or agnostic individuals?
Yes. For non-believers, spirituality can offer benefits including a greater sense of connection to others and to the natural world. An interest in spirituality may also spur individuals to pursue mindfulness practices, or to contemplate their purpose in life and how to achieve it.
How effective is spirituality as a therapeutic remedy?
Research suggests spirituality is generally beneficial for individuals. It is correlated with better health habits, such as less substance use, and an improved capacity to cope with stress and other mental health challenges. Increased spirituality can lead individuals to become more empathic and less materialistic, as well.
